Chapter391-A New Secret Realm
Chapter391-A New Secret Realm
The two men clenched their teeth, but the next moment, they could feel blood seeping between them.
This feeling was incredibly uncomfortable; they felt utterly subdued.
But the truth was just as stark—they each had a clear understanding of their own strengths, and it was obvious now that they simply could not overpower this woman if it came down to a fight.
Scarlett glanced at them lightly.
"Speak, what exactly are you thinking? What plans do you have?"
Initially, the two wanted to hold out a bit longer, but seeing Scarlett's gaze, they were forced to speak.
"We had previously acquired a piece of a secret realm fragment, which seems to be connected to the Godson of the Immortality Organization."
"The resources within this fragment are not plentiful, and it carries a malevolent force. Everyone we've sent into it has never returned alive; it's extremely dangerous, so we arranged for Vulture to handle it."
Scarlett immediately understood what was going on.
They likely knew about the dangers contained within the secret realm fragment and wanted to use it to kill John.
In an instant, the surrounding atmosphere turned turbulent, and the air became ominously chilling.
Uncontrollably, everyone was pushed back several steps, only stopping when they hit the walls behind them, preventing them from being blown further away.
Aside from terror, shock was also evident in their hearts.
Why?
Why was this woman so powerful?
Why had she exceeded their imaginations to such an extent?
What was happening?
The world had become something beyond their comprehension.
They had thought they could intimidate this woman, but unexpectedly, they were the ones being threatened now.
More critically, they found themselves utterly incapable of any resistance.
"Interesting, you aren't afraid of someone coming after you later?"
Francis's lips were bloodied, yet he still managed a strained smile.
"He met with trouble on his way, what does that have to do with us?"
"It's a Space Pirate who moved against him, not us."
The reason they dared to do this was precisely because of such reasoning.
Even if problems arose later, it would be an issue for the Space Pirates, not them.
They only needed to share in the spoils of war, nothing else mattered.
"Interesting," Scarlett's eyes narrowed slightly, masking her true emotions.
Just when the two men thought their end was certain, the next moment, they felt as if the massive weight on them had been lifted.
The two shared a look, a relief evident in their eyes, each seeing an unusual glimmer in the other.
The others understood the gravity of the situation and did not dare to conceal anything.
They provided the best medical care to preserve Scarlett's life before swiftly leaving the area.
The place was simply too dangerous, and nobody knew what might happen next.
The saintess was their Dawn Sect's hope.
Even if it meant their lives, they were resolved to ensure her safety.
On the dock, Francis and Benjamin exchanged glances, seeing both ambition and a hint of relief in each other's eyes.
They were immensely relieved that they hadn't acted rashly earlier.
Otherwise, it could have been them facing death.
"But why did that woman let us go?"
Benjamin wiped the blood from his mouth, his expression ugly.
Having been in this place for so many years, this was the first time they had been so brutally humiliated.
Yet, they couldn't utter a word in response and could only present their faces for more slaps.
The kind of oppressive force they had felt was something they had never even seen from Vincent Morgan.
It was as if they had been struck by a force from another dimension, an experience they found particularly loathsome.
Always high and mighty, now they were reduced to kneeling on the ground, at the mercy of another.
How could they possibly accept such a fall from grace?
Francis sneered, looking in the direction of the departing spaceship.
"Do you think that woman has any real power? She had just been through a major battle; she likely had no strength left to fight us."
At first, Benjamin was puzzled, but hearing Francis's explanation, he began to understand.
It was likely that the woman was merely bluffing, and they had been completely deceived, with no room to maneuver.
Benjamin could no longer maintain his usual smile.
He looked as if he had swallowed a fly, disgusted and nauseated.
"Still, John is definitely not going to survive."
Thinking this, the two felt a slight relief.
At least this time, their efforts weren't entirely fruitless.
However, what they didn't know was that John had been enveloped in an abyss of nothingness.
Soon after, the entire spaceship was completely sucked into a black hole.
They felt as if they were falling into a spatial black hole, the dizzying sensation completely engulfing them.
John instinctively tried to resist the dizziness, but his consciousness was quickly obliterated.
If someone else had been there, they would have noticed the black mist in the air, absorbing them before drifting off into the vast cosmos, turning into a cluster of shimmering fragments.
