Chapter432-Searching for a Way Out

Chapter432-Searching for a Way Out

As expected, when the chief of the Zebra Tribe heard what Dark Fox had said, his expression turned decidedly unpleasant.

Finally, as if he had thought of something, he let out a cold laugh, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

"Indeed, your tribe is very powerful, but so what? Haven't you still become our prisoners? Your father is still confined in the tent of the Fortunate. You are only here because you've caught the fancy of a certain someone."

Dark Fox hadn't anticipated that someone who seemed so clumsy with words could be so ruthless in a verbal confrontation.

For a moment, he felt a bit awkward.

However, for the sake of their plan today, it didn't matter if he was insulted.

"So what if that's true? All your strength is concentrated on yourselves. He makes you do whatever he wishes. But I'm different. My father controls all the power."

"Including the Panther Tribe—they too are led by their chief. That's why they are stronger than you. Can't you see the difference? Do I have to spell it out? You're nothing but a weakling."

Dark Fox's lips curled into a slight smile, though his eyes held a different emotion.

In an instant, he felt an overwhelming pressure bearing down on him, as if a mountain were suddenly placed upon his shoulders, nearly driving him to his knees.

Outwardly, he remained composed, but within, he couldn't help feeling a twinge of concern.

What was happening?

Why did this person suddenly seem so terrifying?

After all, he was just a chief of a primitive tribe.

Even if they fought head-on, there shouldn't be anything too extraordinary about him.

So why did he feel such an intense sense of oppression here?

It defied all logic.

But it lasted only for a moment.

Just as quickly, the crushing weight lifted, as if the mountain had been moved aside.

The oppressive feeling was gone, and he allowed himself to exhale slightly.

Especially when such power had once been so far out of reach.

If they could obtain it, they would be unstoppable across the continent.

They would no longer be under anyone's control.

Once someone has tasted the most exquisite pleasures, they will never again be content to be trampled underfoot.

"Very well, I know what to do. You may leave. I will tell you tonight what your next steps should be."

The chief of the Zebra Tribe looked at John with eyes full of respect, but he said nothing more.

He respectfully stepped back and exited.

Once the chief had left, the others in the room exchanged suspicious glances with John.

They didn't understand what had gotten into him.

"What's going on? Why did you bring this up to him? Didn't you always believe their power came from inscriptions or perhaps from the sun or the forest? Why suddenly suggest they should unite it all?"

Vincent was somewhat puzzled.

To him, these people weren't particularly significant.

They were just natives, after all.

Although there was a bit of risk involved, it was confined to this secret realm.

Once they left, these people would pose no threat, wouldn't affect them in any way, and they wouldn't even give them a second thought.

"I just have a feeling that only by helping them reach their full potential will we be able to leave."

John didn't mention that he had just received a new main quest.

The quest informed him that only by helping the Zebra Tribe attain pure power could they leave.

At that point, the secret realm would merge with him entirely, making his escape from this place as easy as turning his hand.

However, what troubled him was that he didn't fully understand what this so-called unification of power meant, nor did he know how to achieve it.

So, his initial thought was to have the three tribes combine their powers—perhaps that was the key.

As for what might come next, they would have to wait and see.
