So, Pontus was worried but still confident because he knew that even in the worst-case scenario, it would only result in the Lord of Darkness lashing out and leaving after venting for a while.

Within the sea trench, invisible forces converged, seemingly intent on stopping Erebus’s advance, but it all proved futile.
