Mikala lowered her head then Nessa sighed, knowing what the girl may be feeling as well as thinking at the time and she sighed then looked at Nessa.

The king looked at his other kids, who couldn't believe their ears at the time and Kyle clenched his fist, then exhaled deeply and Jovan gritted his teeth as Quion looked at what was going on and wanted to see what was going to happen next.

"Seraphina, come forward, that's an order," The king said and she flinched, then Zack smirked and Nessa saw and when he noticed that she did, he turned away immediately and she scoffed.

"Seraphina, go," Nessa said and the girl nodded then stepped forward and she noticed Kyle was looking at her as were a few others that were working with the council.

Mikala went and stood in front of her father, with her head bowed and he smiled at her before peeking at her face then he exhaled deeply.

"Mikala, look up at me, do you have a problem with my decision?" He asked and she looked at him but before she could even answer his question, Jovan stepped forward and Nessa glanced at him and her brows furrowed.

"Your Highness, wait a minute, please, don't our opinion have any weight here? Is her opinion all that matters?" Jovan asked and Mikala turned around to look at him and Nessa scoffed.

"Your Highness, he is right, there were more candidates as well," The woman among the council members said.

"She wasn't even among the candidates, she did no tests like the others and yet she is being selected," Another added and the king looked at them then he sighed.

"That's right, there are so many things that need to be discussed right now, no one expected anything like this," Jovan said and Mikala lowered her head.

"Ah, yes we remember that, continue father, we would like to hear the rest of your reasons," Nios said and the king nodded.

"Mikala has the ability to rule with compassion, wisdom and fairness, she is not someone who would judge you by your status, so far whatever she has done, is for the better of the kingdom, most of the time, we try to keep her out of danger but she would rush head first into danger."

"Ever since Nessa came, I have been looking at everything carefully, ever since Nessa started teaching her, she has improved in many ways, even showing more traits that a leader should have, not everything is about the power you possess to defeat an opponent, she has the morale of a leader," He said and Mikala left staring at the way her father was talking then she swallowed.

Mikala couldn't believe what she was hearing from her father, since she thought he had never even seen her as the type who even had the potential to be one.

"I see, so that's part of your reasoning, something that we lack, father?" Reign asked and Mikala lowered her gaze and Reign chuckled then approached her.

He patted her on the head with a gentle smile on his face then he exhaled deeply before standing beside her.

"I understand dad, also you should hear my opinion as well, I never wanted the throne, so you choosing her is a good idea, I think she has potential," Nios said and Mikala smiled at him then he patted her on the shoulder, before standing beside her.

"So, you guys are clearly fine with this, what about the rest of us?" Jovan asked as he stood up front and Quion glanced at him and at the same time.

Nessa's eyes narrowed, she knew then and there that none of this was going to get easy, especially for Mikala.
