Chapter 12 12: So What if I Can Stealth? I Have Flare
"Blackshade?"
The name made several guild leaders pause.
They hadn't heard of such a high-level player before.
From the format of the ID, it didn't look like a member of any known guild either.
So where did this player come from?
Other players, upon hearing Drake's words, became excited.
"Oh, so your name is Blackshade? You better hope I catch you!"
"I saw someone attacking from a distance and disappearing right away. Could that be Blackshade?"
"If he can stealth, he must be an Assassin class. By the way, I'm also an Assassin. Why don't I have stealth? Why the discrimination in this game? My soul is tired."
"I'm an Assassin hidden class, and although I have stealth, I have to wait for cooldown after breaking invisibility. But Blackshade can seamlessly stealth. How does that work?"
"Don't think too much, he's definitely hacking. By the way, where can I buy that hack, is it stable?"
"Drake is giving up on this BOSS to make friends with Blackshade? That's pathetic."
"Yeah, Blackshade's nothing, I could crush him with one hand!"
"Uh, bro, can you withstand 900+ damage attacks?"
Tristan ignored the chatter from the other players, but Drake's words made him smile to himself.
It was indeed the Drake he remembered.
As for Drake revealing his ID, Tristan wasn't bothered.
After the BOSS kill, he wouldn't hide his ID anyway. Other players would find out eventually—it was only a matter of time.
Drake's statement showed that both he and the entire IFA guild did not wish to make an enemy of him.
Lost in thought, Tristan threw another Shadow Dagger.
-976! (Weak Spot Attack)
The wild rabbit BOSS's health dropped slightly again.
The players who had been camping at the spot of his previous attack realized that Tristan had moved further away, feeling like their efforts had been in vain.
What were they even doing?
It was an Assassin who could stealth!
Many players started to back off.
They couldn't break the BOSS's defense, and they had been hoping to win by sheer probability.
But now, Blackshade had essentially locked in the loot, and they were just wasting their time. It was better to go level up.
However, some guilds weren't willing to give up.
A player with the ID [DarkSaber] sneered, "He thinks he's so great just because he can stealth? Get him out here!"
Whoosh... Bang!
Other players watching the scene had waited a while but hadn't seen Blackshade, so they began to taunt.
"What's this Shadow Legion? Big words, small skills."
"Everyone, keep an eye out. Don't join such a useless guild in the future."
"Just practice more if you're bad."
DarkSaber's face turned red with anger, and he glared fiercely at the hunter beside him, shouting, "Did you hear that? Go back and practice more!"
The hunter was a bit disgruntled.
"What's that got to do with me? It's clear they have something more powerful up their sleeve."
"This guild is so useless."
Not far away, Drake watched DarkSaber and the hunter, his eyes shining with a keen light.
He could no longer hold himself back from poaching players.
But thinking it over, the fact that Blackshade wasn't afraid of a level 3 Flare was important information.
Could his Stealth be level 3 or even level 4?
Or maybe it wasn't the level, but the grade that was high?
In just a few moments, Drake analyzed a lot of information and felt more and more that Blackshade was a mysterious figure.
Such a player, even if he couldn't recruit him, should never become an enemy!
The members of Drake's squad also became convinced.
They had felt a bit awkward at first, especially since it was the first BOSS of the newbie village, and the guild leader had given up.
But seeing DarkSaber's embarrassment, they suddenly understood that their guild leader had made a wise decision.
With Blackshade around, they had no chance.
Their hunter didn't have a level 3 Flare.
And even if they did, what good would it do?
Drake yelled at DarkSaber, "Be careful walking around at night, you might get snatched up by Blackshade."
DarkSaber glared angrily but was secretly worried.
That Blackshade dealt nearly 1000 damage per hit to the BOSS—if he targeted him, a single hit might take him down.
Thinking of this, DarkSaber quietly told his teammates, "Keep your eyes peeled. Don't let anyone get too close. You, fire another Flare."
Whoosh... Bang!
The light orb appeared again.
But after waiting for a while, DarkSaber didn't receive the fatal blow. Instead, he saw the wild rabbit BOSS's health drop slightly.
DarkSaber felt conflicted.
It was a good thing that Blackshade didn't strike him down, but his actions clearly showed that he didn't see DarkSaber as a threat at all.
Being ignored was more hurtful than being killed.
