As Su Chen's BMW stopped at the front door of Building No. 2 of the municipal committee, Pei Rou was already coming out.

"Did you have fun?"

Pei Rou asked with a grin, but the implication behind that smile was unmistakable.

"Yeah, it was pretty fun," Su Chen nodded before asking, "Auntie, why haven't you rested yet?"

"Of course, I was waiting for you two!" Pei Rou said with a smile, "How could I rest easy without you guys back?"

"Don't do this in the future," Tang Yun said with a touch of moved concern.

"It's fine, next time if it's this late, no need to come back. Just give a call to let me know you're safe," Pei Rou instructed naturally.

Both of them felt a bit awkward hearing what Pei Rou had said; it seemed like she completely mistook their relationship.

Neither of them tried to explain, knowing it would be pointless anyways; Pei Rou wouldn't believe them no matter what.

"Auntie, it's getting late, I should leave," Su Chen quickly said, just in case Pei Rou suggested that he stay over, which would be troublesome.

Based on Su Chen's understanding of Madam Tang, she was very likely to suggest such a thing.

"Alright, drive safely, Su," Pei Rou instructed, not having thought of that at the moment.

"Okay, I will," Su Chen quickly got into his car and vanished in a cloud of dust.

Pei Rou complained as she and Tang Yun entered the house together.
