Zhang Yi Nian had intensified his routine, trying to maximize Lin Fan's potential.

Every peak was short of resources, so all the disciples had to take on missions.

The disciples looking at the mission wall, which hung the mission slabs, went quiet when they saw Lin Fan.

They made way for him as Lin Fan tried to see if any missions interested him.

Each of the disciples moved with Lin Fan's eyes as he scanned through the mission slabs.

They'd hoped for Lin Fan to choose a team mission.

They figured it would be a smooth mission if they went with Lin Fan.

Most of them were only at Qi Concentration Level.

And Lin Fan was someone at Foundation Establishment Level who had defeated an opponent at Core Formation Level easily.

A rare feat none of them could accomplish.

Lin Fan stopped and read one of the mission slabs.

They shook their heads and silently said no when they saw that it was a solo mission.

The next moment when Lin Fan looked away from the mission slab, they collectively let out a huge sigh.

"Phew, thought he wanted to go for the solo mission."

"I heard it's been pretty unstable outside, best to go with him."

"One of my senior martial brothers got badly hurt by the rebels he had to help suppress."

They chatted silently amongst themselves.

"Good afternoon, senior martial sister." Lin Fan bowed and greeted her after he entered the Main Hall.

He continued to state his purpose, "I have a favor to ask. Can you join our party for a mission?"

Zhang Xi didn't reply and continued what she was doing.

She figured Lin Fan must have been up to no good.

Not once had she escaped unscathed.

Her fist froze in mid-air when Zhang Yi Nian's voice projected into her mind.

"Xi er, go and protect him along the way. We can't afford to lose someone with such talents."

Now his own daughter can't even hold a candle to Lin Fan, she sulked and thought silently.

But thinking about it was all that she did.

If Zhang Yi Nian could, he would go on the mission with Lin Fan.

The next moment she turned to Lin Fan and said, "Sure, no problem. I wouldn't have agreed if it wasn't because of somebody."

Much to the approval of Zhang Yi Nian as he nodded his head.

"Somebody? You mean Miss Rabbit?" Lin Fan misunderstood and thought she was referring to herself.

"Miss Rabbit? Absolutely not." Zhang Xi tried to explain but stopped when she realized it made it look worse.

She wouldn't want him to have other ideas.

Lin Fan then went back to the Mission Hall with Ho Ming and Zhang Xi.

The other disciples were disappointed when they saw Lin Fan coming back with two other people.

The disciple at the counter first briefed them on the details of the mission.

The Yi Tribe had rebelled and attacked the village of Gui An.

They were to go and help the officials there to quell the rebellion.

The mission was accorded high-risk status as the Yi Tribe with their tamed beasts posed significant danger.

When he was done, he asked them whether they were still keen.

"Yes, we are still keen." They said firmly as the three of them imprinted their palms on the mission slab.

It was a new start for their partnership.

Lin Fan left the wooden hut after he double-checked he had everything he needed.

His toad statue was now stocked with pills from Zhang Yi Nian.

When he confirmed he had everything, he set off to meet up with Ho Ming and Zhang Xi.
