Chapter 261 What is time?
It's time to visit Apollo, he thought to himself. He needed to understand the true extent of this new king's power, before it was too late.
Katsuna, noticing the lost look in his eyes, nudged him playfully. "What are you thinking about?" she asked, her tone curious but still teasing.
Julian turned his gaze back to her, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Nothing," he said casually. "Just planning for the path ahead."
He stood up and stretched before putting on his clothes. "Well then. It's time I get going."
Katsuna looked up at him with a playful but sharp glare. "Are you really going to leave me alone after having your way with me?" she asked.
Julian smiled, buttoning his shirt slowly. "That's your fault," he replied with a smirk. "You made me pay for your company."
Katsuna laughed, "Can't argue against that, I guess." she said with a smirk. Julian finished putting on his pants, adjusting them as he glanced at her.
"What about the one you brought along?" Katsuna asked as she raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to leave him behind?"
"Yes," Julian replied with a sly grin. "Let him enjoy himself here. He will pay the money."
After a brief silence, Julian's smiled widened as he approached her. "I will miss your tight ass," he teased.

Katsuna laughed with a playful tone. "Come and meet me if you do," she said.
After a brief pause, she added, "I won't charge you money."
Julian chuckled softly and without another word, he concentrated and in an instant, teleported out of the district. He stood in the familiar surroundings of Rose's county, the lively sounds of the district fading away in his mind.
"Let's start this new adventure," he said aloud.
Julian continued his walk through the forest cautiously. Suddenly, he heard the rustling of leaves. His senses heightened, and he immediately turned towards the source of the sound, summoning his spear in his hand.
Before he could fully prepare himself, a slash-like attack shot toward him at incredible speed. Instinctively, he twisted his body, narrowly dodging the assault. The attack missed him but struck a nearby tree.
Julian turned his attention to the tree, observing it carefully. At first, it seemed unaffected, but within moments, it began to crack and wither, the area around the attack decaying unnaturally fast.
"It's not rotting," Julian muttered, narrowing his eyes. "The affected part is... aging rapidly."
His grip on the spear tightened. Is it using the concept of time? he thought, his mind racing with possibilities. For the first time in many years, a flicker of nervousness, even fear, crept into his chest.
The concept of time was a mystery and barely understood even by the most ancient scholars and powerful mages.
While Julian held vast knowledge even about the forces of creation and destruction, time was something beyond his grasp. It was a concept so vast and mysterious that he could not even imagine understanding it.
He believed that true comprehension of time could only be achieved with mastery over all three energies. Without that, it was like trying to grasp the wind with his hands.
**
One week before,
Julian stood by the window of his room, his gaze fixed on the peaceful scene outside. The chirping of birds filled the air as they flew joyfully, and flowers swayed gently with the breeze.
His eyes lingered on the sun that shone brightly in the clear sky.
Moments passed and a small cloud drifted, covering the sun, casting a brief shadow over the landscape. Time seemed to slip through his fingers unnoticed, and before he realized it, the sky had turned a deep shade of red.
He stretched lazily, letting the silence of the dusk envelop him. The word time escaped his lips, almost subconsciously.
To the old Julian, it would have been nothing more than a simple concept, something that passed unnoticed. But now, something about it felt different and more fascinating.
What is time? he asked, a spark of curiosity lighting up in his mind.
