Chapter 1145: The Air of Invincibility

Ye Guan followed Fan Zhaodi as they departed the imperial city. About fifteen minutes later, they arrived at a mountain range.

A massive, grand, and awe-inspiring palace stood at the end of the mountain range. Its towering walls, hundreds of feet high, exuded a sense of majesty and mystery. Each stone of the walls was engraved with ancient and enigmatic runes, emanating an aura of timelessness and grandeur.

Ye Guan gazed at the majestic palace curiously and asked, "What is this place?"

Fan Zhaodi replied, "The Imperial Mausoleum."

With that, she led Ye Guan directly into the mausoleum. Two tall and imposing statues stood at the entrance. Each statue held a spear in its left hand and a shield in its right, and they were staring straight ahead with an invisible yet palpable sense of oppression emanating from their gaze.

Ye Guan glanced at Fan Zhaodi, but she said nothing and simply led him inside the mausoleum.

Following the passage, the two descended into the depths. There was a subterranean city, but it was eerily devoid of any inhabitants. Suspended in the city were nineteen copper coffins, making the place feel exceptionally sinister.

Looking at the coffins, Ye Guan asked, "Are they your family members?"

Fan Zhaodi turned to look at Ye Guan and chided, "Watch your mouth."

Ye Guan was speechless.

Fan Zhaodi shifted her gaze back to the coffins and muttered, "Honorable ancestors, for the sake of the Divine Ruins Empire, I must destroy your bodies. Please forgive me for this transgression."

Ye Guan was stunned, and he looked at Fan Zhaodi in disbelief.

Fan Zhaodi waved her right hand.

Boom!

Eighteen of the copper coffins shattered, and even the corpses within were destroyed along with them.

She really destroyed them! Ye Guan was dumbfounded. Is she insane?

Fan Zhaodi opened her palm, and eighteen Supreme Law Hearts flew out, hovering before her and Ye Guan.

Fan Zhaodi turned to look at Ye Guan and smiled. "They're all yours."

Ye Guan stared at her, and his tone was grave as he asked, "Lady Fan, what exactly are you trying to do here?"

After absorbing a Supreme Law Heart, Ye Guan had a full understanding of its value. For some reason, Fan Zhaodi had decided to give him eighteen Supreme Law Hearts.

It was far too suspicious of an act. He would never believe that she had any romantic interest in him. A lady who had cultivated to her level would not concern herself with men.

Fan Zhaodi blinked and said, "Didn't I already tell you? I'm here to help you grow stronger."

Ye Guan's voice turned serious. "Lady Fan, can we speak honestly? Let's stop beating around the bush."

Fan Zhaodi replied earnestly, "I brought you to the Divine Ruins because I want to ask for your help with an important matter."

Ye Guan asked, "What is it?"

"I can't tell you for now."

Ye Guan's face darkened. If you can't say, then why bring it up?

Fan Zhaodi urged him, "Hurry up and absorb them! Once you do, you'll become a Supreme Sovereign."

Ye Guan remained silent.

"Not only will you become a Supreme Sovereign, but you'll also be able to reconstruct the Supreme Law Seal. By then, I'll teach you how to materialize your Guanxuan Laws." ŘαɴőᛒΕṤ

Ye Guan stared deeply at Fan Zhaodi. "Lady Fan, what exactly is your goal? Why not just say it? I believe we can discuss anything openly. Even if it means offering myself, I'm willing to consider it."

"Pfft!" The Multiverse Emperor chuckled and asked, "Hall Master Si Wen, isn't that a bit exaggerated?"

Si Wen looked at the Multiverse Emperor with a somewhat perplexed gaze.

Qiong Zhan and the other two also turned their gazes toward him.

The Multiverse Emperor laughed lightly, patting his knee. "I've crossed paths with Clan Leader Jing. I must admit, she's quite formidable. But as for how strong she really is? I'd say it's just so-so."

Si Wen frowned.

Meng Wu and Qiong Zhan turned their gazes toward the Multiverse Emperor.

Si Wen's expression turned somewhat unpleasant.

Seeing Si Wen's sour expression, Qi Fa added, "No offense, gentlemen. I'm merely curious."

The Multiverse Emperor responded with a composed smile, "Dean Qi Fa, do you believe that lady in the plain skirt is particularly strong?"

Qi Fa looked at him, her tone unhurried and calm. "Whether she's strong or not, I don't know, as I've never faced her. However, based on what we've seen so far, Ye Guan's journey from a low-tier civilization to where he is now is anything but ordinary.

"And he caught Fan Zhaodi's attention, so there must be a good reason behind it."

Qiong Zhan nodded slightly and remarked, "Dean Qi Fa's analysis is reasonable."

He then turned toward the Multiverse Emperor and Si Wen. "The two of you have never fought the lady in the plain skirt, right?"

Si Wen shook his head and said solemnly, "No. The Temporal Dao Hall has only clashed with Clan Leader Jing, and she is extremely strong. Her Dao Speech allows her to determine life and death with just a word.

"As for the lady in the plain skirt, we've never even seen her, much less fight her."

Si Wen then turned toward the Multiverse Emperor.

Everyone followed suit, focusing their attention on him.
