Chapter 386 Domination Expansion Arena Showdown
Chapter 386 Domination Expansion Arena Showdown
The words hung in the air like an unrelenting storm.
"DOMINATION EXPANSION: ARENA SHOWDOWN!"
Oliver's aura erupted outward in a torrent of crimson energy.
It swirled violently, spreading out in every direction and consuming the battlefield.
The space around them shimmered, bending and twisting as though reality itself was being rewritten.
Stark stumbled backward, his cuffs rattling as the Classes Figure smirked beside him.
[Well, that's something you don't see every day.]
A blinding flash enveloped everything.
And then...
Nothing.
The noise, the destruction, the chaos—it was gone.
When Stark's vision cleared, his breath caught in his throat.
They weren't in the city anymore.
The ground beneath his feet was smooth, polished obsidian, reflecting faint outlines of those standing upon it.
Around him rose towering, ethereal walls of fire, enclosing the space in a perfect circle.
Above, the sky was an endless void, stars twinkling faintly in its depths, as though the cosmos itself had been dragged into this new domain.
At the center of it all stood Oliver and Clever.
The giant, grotesque golden statue was still there, still in its overwhelmingly big size, it remained menacing, its hundred arms poised and ready to strike.
Oliver stood confidently across from Clever, his aura burning brighter than ever, casting long shadows across the arena.
Stark's eyes widened. "What... is this?"
Oliver didn't even glance back. "This is my domain."
"Your what now?!"
Stark was flabbergasted: in the year and half he had been in this stupid world, and since he acquired the [Domination] power, he had never heard of this.
Oliver did refer to it as a power only level 200 domination users would get, but even then.
Was this the true form of domination?
Would he also get it if he ever reached that level?!
[An explanation is needed!]
"Yes, it is," Stark groaned, wanting to know.
Ding!
[Domination Expansion]
[Once reaching level 200, your aura becomes powerful enough to use "Domination Expansion".]
[You can only use it once per month, as if you do it more, you risk death.]
"So I can use it multiple times in a row if I can handle it, huh."
[When using Domination Expansion, you utilize the entirety of your aura to create a domain of your own, where anyone who goes inside needs to abide to its rules.]
[That domain will surround you completely in a range that depends from aura to aura, and any enemy within range when the aura domain closes on them will be forcefully transported to this alternate dimension.]
[That is all that can be told for now :)]
"This is insane," Stark muttered, his voice barely audible.
His mind raced as the explanation appeared before his eyes, the familiar system notifications ringing in his head.
The Classes Figure chuckled beside him, its translucent form lazily floating above the polished obsidian floor.
Much like the [Domination Trial] though, [Domination Expansions] also had their own set of rules.
And as Stark was caught within the domain, he was forced to participate too. Stay connected through empire
Ding!
A panel appeared in front of each of them.
[Domination Expansion: Arena Showdown.]
[Skills: Divine Pulverizer (Mythical), Thousandfold Destruction (Mythical), Zenith Eruption (Mythical), Shimmering Collapse (Mythical), Monumental Devastation (Mythical), Eternal Divide (Godly), Wrathful Annihilation (Godly), Crushing Infinity (Godly), Golden Tempest (Godly), Titan's Fury (Godly), Heaven's Rainfall (Immortal), Supreme Execution (Immortal), Zero Hand (Immortal++)]
This guy only had skills from the [Mythical] category and above, including three fucking Immortal ones.
The transformation had made Clever, a beast in the battlefield, into a whole demon.
And what the hell is Immortal+? Was it the next form of Immortal?
His [Zero Hand] from his human form was Immortal, but the + had just been added.
It didn't matter to Oliver, though, who simply got ready to fight with all his might, as in this space, the worse that could happen is for him to die.
Though he knew it was unlikely, even with the massive HP pool the transformed Clever had.
'Come on,' Stark groaned as the Classes Figure was busy dealing with the cuffs.
[On it, just be patient.]
The battle raged on, each clash of power shaking the obsidian arena like a thunderstorm.
Oliver darted forward, weaving between the relentless strikes of the golden statue's arms.
His aura flared, a blazing shield of crimson light that deflected one of the statue's fists inches from his face.
Clever's grin widened as he effortlessly commanded the grotesque monstrosity, its movements fluid despite its size.
"You're faster than I expected, Oliver," he said, his voice calm and condescending. "But speed won't save you here."
The golden arms launched another barrage, this time coordinated to trap Oliver.
Two came from the sides, one aimed to crush him from above, and another stabbed forward like a lance.
Oliver's eyes narrowed.
With a deep breath, his crimson aura surged, and he leaped straight into the onslaught.
Oliver spun mid-air, his aura condensing around his leg.
With one decisive kick, he cleaved through two of the statue's arms, sending fragments of shimmering gold scattering across the arena, destroying them completely.
The remaining arms closed in, but Oliver moved faster than Clever anticipated, rolling beneath them and striking at Clever himself with a devastating punch to the chest.
-8,455,372!
Clever stumbled, his grin faltering for a moment. The golden statue reeled, as though sharing its master's pain.
"You're persistent. I'll give you that," Clever muttered, regaining his composure. "But let's see how long you last."
With a snap of his fingers, the shattered arms of the statue reformed instantly, their golden hue gleaming brighter than before.
The sheer speed of their regeneration was staggering.
Stark watched from the sidelines, his jaw tightening. "He's just regenerating them? That's insane!"
Clever laughed, his tone mocking. "Surely you didn't think you could destroy my creation so easily? These hands are limitless, Oliver. No matter how strong you are, you'll fall eventually."
Oliver wiped the sweat from his brow, a confident smirk playing across his lips. "Limitless, huh? Let's test that."
One of the golden arms launched at him like a spear, faster and more forceful than any of its previous strikes.
The air around it warped as it tore through space, aimed straight at Oliver's chest.
But Oliver didn't flinch.
As the arm closed in, he extended his hand and caught it mid-thrust.
The force of the impact sent shockwaves rippling across the arena, the ground beneath his feet cracking under the strain.
For a moment, the world seemed to hold its breath.
Then, with a roar, Oliver's aura erupted, and he crushed the golden arm in his grip. The limb shattered into a million pieces, golden dust scattering like glittering rain.
"You're weak," Oliver taunted, his voice cutting through the tense silence. He tossed the remnants aside like trash, his smirk widening.
Clever tilted his head, unbothered.
True to his words from before, the golden fragments began to reform, pulling themselves back into shape with a metallic hum.
Clever's grin returned, broader than ever. "Please, keep trying. I enjoy the effort."
Oliver tightened his fists, his aura crackling. "Then I'll just have to destroy them faster than you can fix them."
The two locked eyes, the tension between them palpable. And then, in a blur of motion, the next assault began.
This time though... they started using their skills.
On the other hand, Stark was simply waiting for the classes to do their only job: liberate him.
