Chapter403-An Unexpected Crossover
Chapter403-An Unexpected Crossover
John glanced at the figure, then at the system panel.
He looked from the panel back to the figure before him, and hesitantly turned to Vincent at his side.
Although he had somewhat guessed that the consciousnesses of these people had crossed into this world, subject to certain suppressions or changes, he had not anticipated that Dark Fox would be altered as well.
True, the body looked very tall and imposing, quite the robust figure, which ordinarily wouldn't pose any issues.
But why did the description on the interface indicate that the body was that of a girl?
A girl!
John felt his worldview crumbling in that instant.
Not that he was one to judge by appearances, but this revelation seemed particularly jarring and dissonant.
After all, Dark Fox himself was a man over 1.8 meters tall.
But now, here he was in this body, and not just any body, but that of a girl.
It all seemed rather bizarre.
His curiosity was piqued.
If even Dark Fox was in such a state, what then were the situations of Silver Tear and Victor?
Vincent cast a perplexed glance at John.
Why was this man suddenly looking at him with such a strange expression on his face?
After a moment's thought, nothing particularly troublesome came to mind, so he let it go.
Here he was, a formidable apocalyptic-tier awakener, now suppressed to a silver-tier level.
John, merely a platinum-tier, seemed unaffected, which was downright bizarre.
Vincent really began to suspect that this secret realm was targeting awakeners of higher levels, but that was just a fleeting thought for now; the specifics remained unclear.
On the other side, Dark Fox's face changed the instant he saw John standing on the Thorned Rock Serpent.
It was a mix of excitement and exhilaration! He felt like crying; after being in this place for so long, he had finally spotted his teammate.
It had not been easy at all.
Instinctively, Dark Fox wanted to rush over and give John a loving embrace, but he was quickly pulled back by the chief of the Eagle Tribe.
"What are you doing? Don't forget, you are now considered the most beautiful person in our tribe, and they are likely coming for you."
Meanwhile, John was indeed bestowing them with buffs.
Their wounds visibly began to heal at an observable rate.
With this enhancement, they felt no fear; instead, they charged forward relentlessly.
Winning this battle would mean gaining more resources and opportunities, allowing them to achieve much more.
John kept a watchful eye over the entire scene, relieved slightly when he saw no unexpected incidents.
After all, his teammates were still on the opposite side, and the last thing he wanted was to accidentally harm them.
The situation was still unclear, and he knew they had to regroup before making any further plans.
The first wave of combat left everyone in awe.
Aside from a few who were seriously injured, there seemed to be no difference for the others.
They exchanged looks, each seeing the surprise in the other's eyes; they had never expected the first clash to leave them unscathed.
It seemed unbelievable.
But only Dark Fox knew that all of this was thanks to John.
Without him, the situation could have been much worse.
The chief of the Eagle Tribe glanced at John, feeling a sense of wariness.
Why did this man exert such an oppressive feeling? It was as though his power far exceeded his own, yet there were no visible runes on him.
Could this be someone from the Panther Tribe?
No, he had encountered people from the Panther Tribe before and knew they were not as simple as they seemed.
Perhaps there were secrets he was unaware of, or other underlying factors at play. Stay tuned for updates on empire
Why were there suddenly so many people?
And where had these beasts come from?
His mind was filled with too many questions, but in this moment, he could not voice them and had to forcefully suppress them.
Watching the serpents' massive tails smash their fences to pieces, he became anxious.
Their fences were fortified with inscriptive attacks and should not have been so easily destroyed.
Could it be that these serpents were not afraid of their rune powers? Impossible, that simply could not be.
No one on this continent could be unafraid!
