Chapter 75 Changes On The Platform

Chapter 75 Changes On The Platform

For the last couple of days, things had more or less gone according to plan, and frankly, Aoni had quite a bit to show for it.

For Starters, what once was a snow-covered platform littered with multiple finished and half-finished projects was now a clean and neatly organized Camp of sorts.

In the direct center, roughly 20 feet outside of the Cave, was a newly created firepit, or campfire, encircled in stones. Having sent Glacia out on multiple occasions to collect vines and wood, it was now possible to keep the fire burning at all hours, giving Aoni and his summon a constant light source, even throughout the night, so long as the firepit was stocked up before bed.

On the northern side of the Camp sat eight large five-by-five square feet storage containers or, well, let's call them what they were, big ass chest-style boxes, seven made of wood and one of stone, each one with a sign erected behind it labeling its contents.

From left to right, the signs read: Crafting Materials, Processed Hides, Salt stones, Energia Crystals, Rocks, Scraps, Equipment, and lastly, MEAT.

Of course, the Stone container was the one being used to store meat since it could naturally stay much colder than the wooden boxes.

Never before had Aoni felt so...well organized; even back on Terra, he was quite a messy person, and if you were to enter his bedroom, it wasn't uncommon to find dirty clothing and empty water bottles scattered all over the place.

The real question was how long it would take before the lad began disregarding the signs attached to each container and started throwing random things into random boxes.@@@@

On the western face of the platform was, of course, the path leading down the mountain, which, after the little experiment the other day, was slowly getting a new layer of snow, as the dreaded white shit had been melting upon hitting the ground instead of collecting.

Unsurprisingly enough, the temperature where the pressure had descended had originally reached somewhere near 80 degrees but, over the last two days, had dropped slowly, reaching its current estimated 63 degrees Fahrenheit.

As such, even if precipitation did fall in those areas, there was a higher likelihood of it being in the form of rain rather than snow. Still, that didn't mean sleet or slush wouldn't fall from the sky; it was merely that it would turn to water after a certain point.

The same could be said about what the lad went through when making the planks used in the construction of the Crafting station, along with the storage containers outside.

Sure, he had found a few workarounds, like putting his blade between two logs and effectively turning them into table-saw blades, but even that was more of a chore than necessary.

Walking around the Camp with his hands behind his back and Glacia padding along by his feet, Aoni examined the fruits of their effort by giving a nod each time he passed something, in turn, causing the ball of fluff to do the same, even if she didn't quite understand why.

"Everything is in order now, although nothing is hands-off or automated, it's spread out in such a way that I can move freely and unhindered from one project to the next, something which would have otherwise been quite difficult, given what I am about to do..." While he spoke, Aoni and Glacia came around the southern end of the Cave and started walking in and toward the Flume.

The reason...well, that's simple and could be explained with a singular line of text.

Aoni's Summon charges were full, and it was time to execute his first Multi-Summon!

Wearing a smile, Aoni walked into the Cave, where everything was pristine and orderly, before walking up to the blood-red artifact.

"Cross your fingers, do a lil dance, and pray we get you some new friends, Glacia!"

"GAOOOOOOOOO!!"
