Chapter 293 People Are Nothing More Than a Bunch of Hypocrites.

"Of course, I understand, Zoe." Lucifer replied, looking into her eyes and smiling at her. "I understand very well what you are saying. You're saying that you think it's not normal for a man and woman to fall in love and have sex just because they are siblings, right? They should restrain themselves from indulging in such activities. Otherwise, society will frown upon their actions, and they will be shunned and looked down upon."

"And then what? They should let their lives be controlled by what others think or do. People who might not even care about their well-being, happiness, or anything else?" He paused, giving her a serious look before continuing. "And you know what's even more ridiculous? The fact that those same people will wag their tails and lick boots like good dogs just to gain the favor of someone who can slap their faces with bundles of cash. So why should we care about their opinions? What does their approval matter to me or Layla if they're nothing more than a bunch of hypocrites?"

After saying that, Lucifer turned his head and looked at Layla, smiling at her, "What do you say, Layla? Do you care what these hypocritical people think about your love for me? Would you let them dictate how you live your life and who you should fall for? Do you care about their opinions and what they would think if they ever found out about us being in love with one another?"

Layla returned his gaze, staring into his eyes with a sweet smile, "No, of course not! Why would I care about their opinion? They have no right to tell me who I should love and what I should do with my body. I will fuck whoever I want and love whoever I choose. And I chose you as my lover, Lucifer. I don't care about the consequences; I love you, and I want to spend my entire life together with you. Nothing else matters besides that."

"You heard her," Lucifer said, looking at Zoe with a triumphant smile, "And that is why I don't see my relationship with Layla as anything but pure love."

However, despite knowing that Lucifer had a point about his statement, Eva wasn't going to accept his womanizing behavior. After all, no matter how handsome he may be, it wasn't acceptable to have a harem.

"Hey, I understand your point, but what about the part where you have been flirting with Madison, even though you are already in a relationship with Layla?" She questioned Lucifer with a serious look. "Don't you think being a womanizer and sleeping with every hot woman you come across is a bad thing to do when you have someone that you truly care about?"

"Yes, I agree with that." Zoe added, supporting her. "You should respect Layla, and she should also respect herself by not letting you take advantage of her feelings for you like that."

Lucifer was about to reply when Layla suddenly interrupted him, "Who says I don't respect my feelings for him? And how is he taking advantage if I and the other girls are okay with his behavior? If it was something that bothered us, don't you think we would have stopped him already?"

"But that is the problem here! Why do you allow yourself to accept his behavior and let him have his way without any complaints? Don't you want to have a normal relationship, or at least have an exclusive one with Lucifer, where it is only the two of you together?" Eva questioned Layla, raising her voice a little. She was frustrated that Layla was being so nonchalant about this whole thing. 'Why is she accepting such behavior from him?! It doesn't make any sense.'

"Well, it is true that I wish I had an exclusive relationship with my dear brother, where it is just him and me," Layla said in an amused tone, smiling at Eva. "But what can I say? I love Lucifer so much that I am willing to accept whatever comes our way as long as we stay together, even if he has his way with other women."
