Chapter 169: The Strongest

Chapter 169: Chapter 169: The Strongest

A hypothetical longsword bypassed the Infinity and rested on Gojo Satoru's shoulder. Sharp sword energy radiated from the blade, slicing into his neck.

Instinctively, Gojo Satoru tried to use Reversed Cursed Technique to heal the injury. However, after activating it, he suddenly realized that the Reversed Cursed Technique couldn't heal the wound. A peculiar force was preventing the recovery and even worsening the injury.

He had a gut feeling that the energy lingering on the wound hadn't even reached Alex's full potential. If Alex wanted, just this residual energy alone could end his life.

Since birth, Gojo Satoru had always been seen as a genius, a prodigy blessed by heaven. Apart from encountering exceptional opponents like Toji Fushiguro, the Sorcerer Killer, he had never suffered a setback.

But today, in his fight against Alex, he finally experienced fear and a sense of insignificance.

What kind of Cursed Technique was this?

A hypothetical sword with mass conversion?

Could imaginary mass change in such a way?

Gojo Satoru began to understand what Alex had meant:

Personal ability transcends Cursed Techniques.

Seeing Gojo lost in thought, Alex retracted his longsword.

In a tone that carried both weight and wisdom, Alex said to Gojo Satoru:

"Listen, kid. Personal ability surpasses everything. There's no such thing as a useless Cursed Technique, only a useless sorcerer.

What else can you do besides relying on the legacy of your ancestors?

You have no innovation, no personal understanding of Cursed Techniques, and your manipulation of Cursed Energy is rudimentary at best. You're squandering your natural talent!

Against average opponents, sure, you can win with sheer numbers. But against true powerhouses, you'll inevitably be defeated."

The onlookers felt deeply insulted by his words.

What did he mean by "average opponents"?

Was he calling them average?

If Gojo Satoru's understanding of Cursed Techniques was considered crude, and his mastery of Cursed Energy simplistic, what were they supposed to do as sorcerers who lived under his shadow?

Still, none dared to voice their dissatisfaction.

From the battle just now, they had already recognized that this Alex—Gojo's long-lost "sixth grandpa"—was an even more terrifying existence than Gojo himself!

Even Gojo Satoru couldn't hold his ground for long against Alex. So what chance did ordinary sorcerers like them have?

After a moment, Gojo snapped out of his daze. He couldn't help but ask Alex: "Granpa, the power you just used... did you develop it all on your own?"

Since the system belonged to Alex, anything created by the system naturally counted as Alex's own work.

Alex didn't hesitate and nodded.

"Of course. These are just some minor tricks. If you want to learn, I can teach you.

But I strongly suggest you forge your own path. Only what you create yourself will truly suit you."

Gojo fell silent once more.

He had been struck hard again.

In the past, he had tried to create his own Cursed Techniques based on the existing ones, but the process was too difficult. It involved bloodlines, Cursed Energy, mental fortitude, and many other factors.

Even with his Six Eyes, which allowed him to observe the flow of Cursed Energy and manipulate it with precision, he had been unable to create anything truly his own. At most, he had only developed new ways to use existing techniques, like teleportation and others.

Eventually, he gave up, believing that Cursed Techniques imprinted in one's bloodline were immutable.

But today, his long-lost grandpa revealed that it was entirely possible to create one's own Cursed Techniques—and Alex himself had done so!

More shocking was the realization that, excluding the time Alex had been in stasis, his physical age was actually younger than Gojo's by eight years.

In his 28 years of life, ever since his early struggles to learn the Reversed Cursed Technique, Gojo Satoru had never felt this defeated.

He continued his questioning.

It was clear that most of them didn't believe Alex's earlier statements either.

Alex didn't seem bothered by their skepticism. Instead, he smirked and said calmly: "Alright then, it seems it's time for me to show the natives of this Jujutsu World what I'm capable of."

Clearing his throat, he gestured for everyone to step back.

"Ahem, ahem. Everyone, stand clear.

It's time for me to make a grand demonstration!"

The crowd quickly stepped back, giving Alex ample space to begin his demonstration.

He raised his hand, and a glowing azure orb formed above his palm. With a calm tone, he explained:

"This is the standard version of the Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue."

The sphere slowly darkened, turning from brilliant blue to an ominous black, as if it were maturing over time. Alex continued:

"When gravity reaches its absolute limit, what you get is a true black hole."

Without restraining the black hole's pull, the area around them began to distort. The earth beneath their feet was torn apart and consumed. Even the sunlight above was dragged into the void, plunging the surroundings into an eerie twilight.

Panicked cries filled the air as everyone begged Alex to stop. He let the black hole persist for a moment longer before dispelling it, just in time to prevent irreversible damage.

The group, now disheveled from the gravitational pull, looked around in shock. Alex, unfazed, smiled brightly and said: "Similarly, when repulsion reaches its absolute peak, it creates a supernova."

A black-and-red singularity appeared in his hand. As its power grew, the singularity shifted through shades of red and white until it became a dazzling point of pure light.

Unleashing the supernova, an unstoppable wave of force blasted everyone backward. Before they could even recover from the black hole's effects, they were hurled away again by the sheer force of repulsion.

Alex's smile widened as he began manipulating the flow of time. He made time rewind and fast-forward deliberately, causing the group to repeatedly relive the effects of gravity and repulsion. The sensation of being pulled and pushed back and forth continued for what felt like hours. In reality, it lasted only minutes, thanks to Alex's control over time.

By the time Alex stopped, everyone was thoroughly exhausted. Even Satoru Gojo, who prided himself on being untouchable, was doubled over and retching from the strain. Some of the weaker individuals, if not for Alex's protective measures, might have been torn apart by the chaotic forces.

As the group tried to recover, Alex smiled and concluded: "This is what mastery over gravity and repulsion, combined with time manipulation, looks like.

So, any further questions?"

Everyone shook their heads frantically, responding in unison:

"No, no more questions!"

No one dared to challenge him further. The mere thought of enduring that torment again was enough to quell their doubts.

Seeing their obedience, Alex sighed with a hint of disappointment.

"What a pity. I was hoping for another round."

He turned to Gojo with a grin and asked: "So, my dear grandson, have I passed your little test?"

Gojo, clearly defeated, sighed and replied: "Of course, you've passed. From now on, you're officially a first-year student at the Tokyo Jujutsu High."

As everyone dispersed, they still felt as though they were dreaming. Alex's demonstration had completely shattered their understanding of what was possible with cursed techniques.

They realized that Satoru Gojo, once thought to be the pinnacle of Jujutsu sorcery, was not the end of the road. There was still so much more to achieve, as Alex had proven by transforming existing techniques into something unimaginably powerful.

Alex's performance didn't just inspire awe—it caused waves across the entire Jujutsu community. Within days, word of the "godlike sorcerer Alex," a figure far beyond Gojo's strength, spread throughout Japan.

For Gojo himself, the experience was humbling but oddly invigorating. While his title as the strongest was no longer his, he found a new sense of purpose. For the first time in his life, he had someone to aspire to surpass.

Returning home, Gojo wasted no time diving into intense training. He was determined to create his own unique cursed technique. His defeat had ignited a fire within him.

The same could be said for the others. Both students and teachers at the school began training with newfound motivation, inspired by Alex's display of power.

Unknowingly, Alex had sparked a revolution in the Jujutsu world. His existence pushed the boundaries of what sorcerers thought was possible. In doing so, he not only shook the foundation of Jujutsu High but also left an indelible mark on the entire cursed sorcery world.

For now, one title echoed across the land—Alex, the Heavenly God.
