Chapter 146

Chapter 146

C146 – Another Skill

After dismantling two cell phones, Jiang Hao acquired two extraordinary abilities.

Curiosity got the better of him, and he wondered if disassembling more would yield additional rewards.

Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on his side this time.

Out of three phones and an old computer, only one phone granted him success once more, bestowing upon him yet another formidable skill.

Wind Catching Ear Level 1 (0/10): Sit at home and know the happenings of the world!

Jiang Hao was overjoyed once again.

Upon testing, he discovered that even at Level 1, Wind Catching Ear could only listen up to a hundred meters.

But to his delight, his Thousand Mile Sound Transmission skill was a perfect complement to his Wind Catching Ear ability!

If only he could acquire the Thousand Mile Eye skill as well. Alas, that remained a mere wishful thought.

He then invested twenty skill points to level up both the Thousand Mile Sound Transmission and Wind Catching Ear skills to Level 2 before he called it quits.

......

The following day, after breakfast, Jiang Hao set out for a nearby antique street, hoping to spot some undervalued treasures with his Eye of Law Destruction.

But just as he was about to leave, Xue Zixi arrived in a flurry—Jiang Hao had never seen her so agitated.

Thus, he planned to scout other areas soon.

For now, he would stick to his agenda and hunt for bargains.

Stepping out, Jiang Hao hopped on a bus bound for Antique Street.

The bus trudged along so slowly that the short trip ended up taking nearly an hour.

Jiang Hao mulled over learning to drive, obtaining a license, and buying a car for more convenient travel.

Sitting on the bus for an hour was dreadfully dull.

Screech...

The bus halted at another stop.

A mother, cradling her little girl, climbed aboard. The child was inexplicably in tears, and the mother tirelessly tried to soothe her.

With the bus’s final destination being the train station, it was packed with passengers.

No seats were available, leaving the mother to stand with her weeping daughter in her arms.

Jiang Hao had secured a seat early on.

The little girl’s cries disturbed many nearby; some cast a frown her way before lapsing into apathy.

Witnessing the scene, Jiang Hao, despite the long ride ahead, rose to his feet.
