jiang hao’s words snapped dahei out of his reverie. dahei looked up, locking eyes with jiang hao’s teasing gaze. his face clouded over, and he grumbled to himself, “this fiend thinks he can tempt me? i have my pride; i will not give in!”
with that thought, dahei’s eyes hardened with resolve. he turned his head away, deliberately avoiding the sight of the vital essence in jiang hao’s hand.
at that instant, dahei sprang to his feet, fixating on the emperor fluid in jiang hao’s grasp, his eyes brimming with insatiable longing and avarice.
