Chapter 389 Talking about Tribulation

Chapter 389 Talking about Tribulation

"Hmm? Silver Fox Sect? Is it another Divine Grade Sect? Why have I never heard about this?" she curiously asked.

'It probably wouldn't exist right now if you knew someone from there who tried to assassinate me—well, just using their name. But I doubt Mom will care much about that,' he thought to himself in amusement.

"Cough, so the thing is, after getting complete control over the Pagoda..." Shen Yuan began to tell her everything that he did—from how he went after the Silver Fox Sect and took control of it to how he trained them inside the Pagoda and went to clear out the old enemies of the sect.

Shen Yuxin listened intently, her arms still loosely hung around her son's neck. As Shen Yuan spoke of seizing control of the Silver Fox Sect, training its assassins within the Pagoda, and defeating the Crimson Wolf Clan, her expression changed from curiosity to amusement—she seemed neither shocked nor worried, but rather... intrigued.

Bing Rong sat nearby, sipping her cup of wine calmly while hearing Shen Yuan's story again. Her gaze kept flicking between Shen Yuan's hand, which was placed at Yuxin's rear, and his handsome face.

Finally, once Shen Yuan finished recounting the last major points—how the entire Silver Fox Sect was now inside his Pagoda, how Ling Yue had undergone her tribulation, how the Crimson Wolf Clan had been wiped out—Yuxin tilted her head, eyes narrowing thoughtfully.

"Hmm." She slid off his lap and sat down on the chair beside him, arms loosely crossed. "No wonder you have been so busy, Yuan'er. Conquering a sect, building an elite assassin force, and training them inside your Pagoda... You truly are doing some crazy things out there."

Shen Yuan raised a brow. "Heh, it's just everyday normal life for me. But I do know I got my cunning from someone, right, Mom?"

She laughed, tapping his nose lightly with her fingertip. "Enough with the flattery. So," she said, giggling softly, "it sounds like you've accumulated quite a private army in a very short span. And now they are all on the cusp of tribulation, all inside your Pagoda...?"

He nodded. "That's the part I need your help with. I plan for them to have their Mortal Tribulation breakthroughs here—every single one of them is at the extreme peak of the 9th-level Dao Core Forming Realm. But this is the point I want your help with."

Shen Yuan's lips curled into a grin, while Bing Rong and Shen Yuxin perked up to hear what it was.

"So, I want all 102 of them to undergo their tribulation at once."

Bing Rong turned her head back and looked at him for a second. "I think you should bring out Ling Yue from your Dual Cultivation Chambers. She should have recovered by now with the time formations there."

Shen Yuan clapped once. "Oh yeah, she shouldn't miss such a grand spectacle. Lan'er, how is she?"

[Taking advantage of the superior environment of the Dual Cultivation Chambers to cultivate inside. But she isn't in deep meditation, likely fearing you might call her out since it's been a while.]

Yue Lan informed him.

"Good, open the portal and bring her out." He nodded as a portal began forming beside him. A shimmering white portal formed. Shen Yuan, Bing Rong, and Yuxin all looked at it.

With a faint surge of Qi from the surroundings, Ling Yue stepped out, blinking, feeling the warm rays of the Sun after so long.

She'd clearly taken the time to freshen up in the Dual Cultivation Chamber. Though her cheeks still remained slightly pink—perhaps from the lingering embarrassment at how she had collapsed in front of Shen Yuan after merely the first tribulation.

But after cleaning herself inside the Dual Cultivation Chambers as well as solidifying her cultivation, her aura became much stronger than before as her Mortal Tribulation Realm aura leaked from her body.

"Y... Young Master," she greeted softly, offering a slight bow to Shen Yuan. Her tail flicked with slight excitement, and her eyes darted shyly between him, Yuxin, and Bing Rong.

Shen Yuan answered with a casual smile. "Glad you could join us, Ling Yue. How's your body holding up?"

She exhaled in relief. "Perfect, thanks to that time chamber environment. My foundation feels stable—no lingering aches." A hint of gratitude flickered in her gaze. "Thank you, Young Master."

Yuxin, sitting at Shen Yuan's right, sized Ling Yue up. Her eyes flashed with slight amusement—like a senior appraising someone important to her son. "You look well for someone who just overcame a tribulation. So you're this Ling Yue my Yuan'er mentioned, yes?"
