RE: Perverted Sugar Daddy System

Chapter 450 - 450: One

Chapter 450 - 450: One

We took Mirah's car to go to the hospital, St Johns Hospital, a 20-minute drive from her house.I initially wanted the woman to stay put, but she fiercely refused to leave my side.

Mirah drove at her interesting speed, going past several cars, and while I distracted myself with her skills, my mind constantly dipped into thoughts of what was happening.

Wanda dead, made no sense to me, I was yet to have enemies that would go after my driver.

Regan wanted me, the Midaford's and Casters the same, but killing my driver helped them in no way.

When we got to the hospital, I made sure to use Echo.

I suspected a trap but my scan showed nothing.

The entire layout of the hospital along with its happenings submitted to my brain, we did not stop by the reception.

Mirah was at first confused and full of doubt as I led her till we stepped out of the elevator and entered a room with a body in it.

"Is that her?"

"Yes," I answered, that was despite the cloth that covered the body on the bed hiding its identity.

Mirah was doubtful and without hesitation she marched to the bed and peeled off the cover.

A face I had become familiar with came into view, the eyes closed and lips sealed shut.

I hadn't fucked Wanda or ever made an advance on her, but a heavy tremble went through me.

She was mine, who dared to hurt her.

"She was strangled."

Mirah was being quite active, or perhaps I had slowed, Wanda's death seemed to be having an impact on me.

Reading from a booklet she had gotten from the side of the bed, Mirah moved to the dead body and fearlessly pulled down the dress around her neck revealing thick black lines that surrounded it.

Like she could imagine Wanda's pain, Mirah's face tightened, her eyes bearing a bit of liquid.

She didn't flinch from the sight making it clear it wasn't her first encounter.

"Do you know who did this?"

"No." My voice came out stiff, surprising even me.

"What is happening?" I wondered, my eyes going to my arm and to my shock, I found it trembling.

"You should take a seat."

Mirah had taken note of my state and finding her gaze on me I felt revolted with myself.

"How can you be so weak?" I scolded myself.

I tried to pull myself together, tried to be strong but whatever will I had against the sensation going through me crumbled.

Mirah came to my side wanting to lead me to the side, but I was at least able to stand strong.

"I'm fine."

Not persisting, she held my right hand with both her palms staying beside me silently.

Seconds passed and I was still trying to make sense of my body, when Mirah let go of me, returned beside the bed and took the leaflet.

"This booklet proves the doctor has already done a diagnosis on her, she should have been taken to the mortuary."

"An investigation has been opened on her, the police are on their way."

I supplied.

Mirah nodded but looked at me confused.

"Then how did she get here.

The police usually do their investigations on site, especially when the victim dies on the scene.

No one moves their body till at least the forensics have done their work."

I blinked as my brain was given work, answers coming to mind as Mirah began feeling up Wanda's body.

"Seems she was brought here by someone who thought she was still alive."

"Yeah," Mirah nodded, "Or she was strangled here in the hospital."

"Her body is still quite warm," Mirah continued.

"If someone had brought her here it shouldn't be so unless they were the attackers."

Mirah's findings brought up a lot of questions, but before my mind could descend into figuring out conspiracies, Mirah's aura flared.

"I can save her."

"Huh?"

"She just died recently, so while her heart is no longer beating her soul still lingers. I can drag it back into her and then jump start her heart."

Mirah spoke the words so easily, her eyes going up to the ceiling contemplating, the woman mumbling under her breath and I barely just caught her words as she seemed to be convincing herself.

"She wouldn't mind, she shouldn't need it anytime soon."

"Who are you referring to?"

Mirah turned to me as if caught, and with a smile she tried to brush off my words, she shook her head.

"Forget about that, let's focus on Wanda."

"Not until you explain to me what you are about to do."

Mirah made it sound so simple and I couldn't help but be cautious, my mind vision strengthening.

Chiara had mentioned the pope being able to resurrect the dead, the awe as he mentioned this ability showing that it wasn't something ubiquitous to all Holy ones.

I didn't for a moment believe Mirah could be on the same level as the pope.

My words made Mirah uncomfortable, guilt flashing through her eyes, a shocking sight considering what she represented.

I had an idea what her secret might touch upon, a name popping up and it made me all the warier.

"We don't have much time, I promise to explain this to you later."

The haste on Mirah's face made it clear she wasn't lying about our lack of time.

I was just about to agree when my phone rang and looking at the caller I was taken aback.

Much of the paralysis that still remained on me shook off and I was relieved when the person on the other side was indeed my personal assistant.

I didn't immediately let known my care for her absence and she was quick to use the moment to deliver to me another bad news.

While I spoke with Nadia, Mirah returned to Wanda's side and energy I thought she could only manipulate in the presence of worship began coming off her being.

The energy left her body in a continuous stream, coalescing around her form, thickening and slowly becoming visible to the naked eyes, appearing in the form of a blurred world.

"What happened?"

Despite her actions, the woman had been observing me and she immediately questioned me when my call ended.

"There is someone else, they just got killed, shot seven times, including to the head.

Can you resurrect them?"

My inhibitions were gone and a look at me showed what might be defeat.

Mirah spent a few seconds observing me, the energy which had formed around her lessening, not dissipating, but retreating into her being.

"I can only resurrect one."
