SHATTERED REALM: FORGOTTEN ECHOES

Chapter 200 200: Let's teach him a lesson! I

Chapter 200 200: Let's teach him a lesson! I

A few days had passed since Lynnor brought her new students to her residence.

In that short time, Aramith had come to understand many things about the Academy.

In the Academy, students were to attend classes upon entering as new students.

Once they entered class, teachers would give them lessons on how to grow their skills and get stronger.

Frequently, they'd have tests, both written and practical.

With time, students who performed exceptionally could interest teachers who could take them under their wing as their personal students.

Once that happened, these exceptional students would skip the daily lessons their peers would attend, only needing to follow the instructions of their respective teachers for more in-depth training that would push them above their peers.

The performance of students would earn them rewards.

If a student fails to gain the approval of any personal teachers, they would have to continue remaining in the class till they proved they were worthy.

Apart from that, there was also an annual test they could take to step up.

Aramith and co. had skipped this whole process the moment they stepped into the academy.

They were immediately favored by Ilthane and pushed out of the academy, so very few knew of them.

And upon their return, they jumped again from classroom to Lynnor's abode, directly becoming her students.

This made several students burn with envy.

They didn't deserve such luck.

And then another reminder came to their ears.

They'd all forgotten about Ilthane's announcement of taking them under his wing.

It didn't make any sense to them.

Students under personal teachers like Lynnor had to undergo special training, and when they'd proved they were worthy, their teachers could recommend them to the Four Pillars of the Academy for approval.

Once that was done, they could then be accepted if they showed exceptional skills.

Other than that, there was also an annual competition held in the academy to determine who could pass.

The top ten students, as well as any few who showed great skill and talent were accepted into one of the four houses.

The four houses each had their perks, and the one with the lowest acceptance rate was the one under Father Ilthane.

It was difficult to believe that he would accept new students so easily.

As it was known, some students could spend years in the academy without being accepted into any house.

The eyes that burned with envy and jealousy turned to the three new students.

Everyone had their misgivings about how they could get in so easily, and just when they were wondering, another piece of shocking news arose, spreading like wildfire.

"I can't believe they're so despicable," a student who was eating his lunch said with clenched fists.

Another scoffed. "You're surprised? From the moment I entered here, I heard rumors about that crazy teacher, Lynnor. And if not for crazy students who paid no heed to the rules and regulations in the academy, who else would she accept as her students?"

"Of course! She's just raising a pack of untrained dogs! Did you see those seniors?"

"Yeah, they said one of them is still unconscious! And it all happened in front of their teacher!"

"That Aramith is disgusting! He immediately sought out those seniors and challenged them, feeling so mighty, and when he was losing, he called for his teacher to come in and save him!"

Someone sneered. "I don't see that as the worst part. He even asked her to punish those students so they won't challenge them again. Who would have thought she was part of the teachers responsible for disciplining students? And their teacher had no choice but to watch as she abused her authority."

"That's just an insult," another pushed his food aside, feeling disgusted as he thought about it.

"That Lynnor had always been like that. I heard it from my teacher."

"Hmpf, he planned it from the start, the moment he knew Lynnor would back him up, provoking them on purpose just to have an excuse to act. Did you see how bad he looked?" he asked in a pained voice.

They all witnessed the caning of that senior the next day, and the scene still burned fresh in their minds.

The senior went unconscious halfway through the punishment, but still had to take it all before he was dragged away, looking half dead.

It was a miracle he was even alive.

Everyone despised Lynnor and her unscrupulous group of ruffians to the core now, and wished nothing more than to teach them a lesson, but such a chance never came up.

"I swear, if I get that Aramith, I'll teach him a lesson!" One boy clenched his fists, raising them up in a threatening manner.

Their jealousy had turned to hatred the moment a chance presented itself.

They were now happy that they could take out their jealousy against them in the form of hate.

Behind that group of students, another smaller group sat, and amongst them, a girl trembled when she heard them mention Aramith.

You want to teach him a lesson? You wouldn't survive a second

She remembered just how much power Aramith had shown that day, and the murderous air that surrounded him still gave her nightmares.

She wanted to correct their misunderstanding, but with the way Aramith's name was being dragged in the mud, a wrong move would make her just as infamous.

A sigh next to her pulled her mind back to reality.

Before she could act, a weight pressed against her shoulder as a girl leaned her head against her shoulder.

She was a beautiful girl with a face that pulled one in. Her delicate features looked disturbed, and made one worry just seeing that expression.

She pouted a little.

"I thought he was a good-looking fellow, quite different from the others..I even wanted to get closer, but...who would have thought he was such a terrible person, hiding behind a woman like Lynnor?"

She sounded dejected.

From the first day she'd seen Aramith, she found his good looks to be rather attractive, as had many young maidens, but alas, he turned out to be the devil incarnate.

"With his devilish looks, of course, he'd be the devil," a young male seated opposite them spoke. "Don't think too much about him. He's just a disgusting piece of trash with only good looks and a crazy woman backing him," the boy continued, unable to bear the expression that marred the beauty before him.

They hadn't noticed the look of shock and fear on someone's face.

A disgusting piece of trash with only good looks? And... She turned to her friend, who wanted to 'get closer to Aramith'.

She'd never want to get closer to that frightening boy, and it wasn't because of Lynnor.

She knew first-hand that Lynnor bragging that he was better than them all wasn't an exaggeration, and now she understood why Ilthane chose him.

Because none of them stood a chance against that seemingly weak boy.
