Chapter 45: Nuclear Chaos Formula

"Your talent for the way of the sword is indeed staggering."

Grandmaster Arsit Byrmellir stated calmly as Arcturus sat across from the elderly grandmaster, the man's purple eyes seeming to penetrate directly into his soul.

He always had such a gaze, like he could see through someone with a single look and know all of his secrets, to the degree that it was becoming uncomfortable in a certain sense. He didn't know if it was just his thing or if it stemmed from his power because he knew that the elderly-looking man was someone very, very powerful.

Now that he awoke as Esper and had Psionic Energy, Arcturus could at least subconsciously feel the strength of the other people. Nothing concrete or precise, but he could tell if someone was very powerful.

The feeling he got from Grandmaster Arsit Byrmellir was the same, or rather, it was his instinct that told him that because even his senses told Arcturus that Grandmaster Arsit Byrmellir was no different from an ordinary human.

Though not as rare as one would expect because most of the high-grade techniques and basically everything was written on the material form, nothing was documented electrically, just for safety.

In the age where there were countless artificial intelligences, some of which could unleash apocalypse if not under strict control or the existence of extremely powerful Espers that acted as deterrents to that, it was much safer to write certain kinds of information on paper.
