Satisfied, Hugo set his phone down just as there was a knock at the door. His pizza delivery had arrived. "Finally!" he said, practically leaping to answer it.
But when he opened the door, it wasn't the usual philosophical guy who handed him his deep thoughts with the pizza. Instead, it was a petite, 4'11" girl with a ponytail and big, round glasses.
"Hi! Your pizza," she said, smiling brightly and holding out the box.
Hugo froze for a moment, blinking. "Wow, uh, thanks!" He quickly collected himself and took the pizza. "So, uh, do you usually deliver pizzas, or is this just a hobby?"
She giggled, adjusting her glasses. "Just a side gig. College expenses and all."
