Chapter 1914 - 2115: A Night of Terror
Chapter 1914 - 2115: A Night of Terror
Liang Xiaohan was sleeping soundly at the moment, looking as if she was comfortably stepping into dreamland. Perhaps it was subconsciously that she turned over, and then subconsciously clamped her legs together. This is like some people who like to cuddle a doll when sleeping; everyone has some subconscious habits when they sleep.Liang Xiaohan's habit might be sleeping with her legs clamping onto something, she was just clamping onto one corner of the quilt, which suddenly dropped and was picked up by Hao Jian.
As soon as the quilt was placed down, it got clamped again, leaving Hao Jian with an expression full of helplessness.
He knew Liang Xiaohan's temperament well; if she were startled awake when pulling his hand away, upon opening her eyes and finding his hand clamped between her legs, she certainly wouldn't think about what actually happened. Her thoughts would definitely drift to the filthy side of things.
He could even imagine the aftermath; without any doubt, she'd shriek first, then grab whatever was within reach and beat him furiously until her anger was appeased.
Of course, this wouldn't be the end of the whole ordeal. After she stopped, she'd definitely curse him, then call her cousin Liang Yuwei and tell her that while taking care of her, he actually harassed her, doing something even worse than a beast. Certainly, the anger would be vented back onto him again.
She might even run into the kitchen, grab a knife, determined to avenge this "blood feud!" And then, he'd certainly not escape another brutal beating, but the key point here is that he couldn't fight back. If he did, more trumped-up charges would be involved.
The thing is, after receiving her beating, Liang Yuwei would certainly rush over in the middle of the night, and then it'd truly be unclear. The misunderstanding would deepen to the point of no defense.
Hao Jian had already thought through the consequences in mere seconds; the more he thought, the more frightened he became. The slight mischievous thoughts he originally had were completely suppressed by fear now. He was left with only an overwhelming sense of dread and was starting to sweat coldly from his back.
Looking at Liang Xiaohan, he felt like crying without tears. Whom did he offend to get tangled up with this girl, truly a pitiful plight!
However, the more miserable thing was yet to come.
Suddenly, while Hao Jian was in a state of wanting to cry without tears, unable to extract his hand, this girl Liang Xiaohan, with her fair long legs, moved restlessly.
"Damn it!"
Hao Jian subconsciously cursed in his mind. He had already managed to suppress the mischievous thoughts with great difficulty, but Liang Xiaohan this girl just had to move.
He couldn't be more uncomfortable; it seemed Liang Xiaohan was merely luring him into committing a crime. Kudos to him for maintaining a shred of composure. Otherwise, some things might have already transpired. Thinking about the consequences made him scared, otherwise he wouldn't have held himself together.
The key issue was that Liang Xiaohan's movements hadn't ceased. She seemed to enjoy this feeling in her dreams, constantly rubbing. Hao Jian looked extremely uncomfortable. It felt like each second was stretched into a year; his heart felt like it was being gnawed at by worms, truly making his heart restless, indescribable.
He usually wasn't much of a firm-hearted person; even a bit of temptation would make him lose control, but now he was intensely controlling himself, not letting his body go out of control. Otherwise, the consequences would be unimaginable. Looking at Liang Xiaohan, he suddenly swallowed a gulp.
At this moment, Liang Xiaohan blinked, moving a little. It scared the wits out of Hao Jian, fearing that she'd wake up now, which would truly be a nightmare's inception. However, lucky for him, she just slightly blinked without actually waking.
Afterward, she suddenly moved again, and her legs loosened. It was just in a flash that Hao Jian seized the moment, swiftly withdrawing his hand from between Liang Xiaohan's fair legs, and instinctively glanced at her, finding no sign of movement. She still looked to be sleeping soundly, which relieved him as his back was already drenched in cold sweat.
He let out a long sigh, finally lowering the heart hanging in his chest, then cautiously ensured Liang Xiaohan was asleep before genuinely relaxing.
Afterward, he tucked her quilt properly and quietly tiptoed out of Liang Xiaohan's dormitory. As he was closing the door, Hao Jian instinctively gulped before finally shutting the door.
What he didn't know was, just seconds after he closed the door, Liang Xiaohan suddenly opened her eyes, looking towards the door with her face flushed.
...
After closing the door, Hao Jian realized his back was soaked in cold sweat. He swore the recent experience was by far the scariest thing he's encountered in recent times. Then, he tidied up the small living room a bit and took a cold shower to freshen up before lying back in bed, only finally managing to fall asleep.
The night passed in this manner.
When Hao Jian woke the next day and went to Liang Xiaohan's room to check, she was already gone, having left for school. However, her bed was messy, and Hao Jian shrugged helplessly as he tidied it up. Then he washed up briefly, had breakfast outside, and returned to lie in bed.
Although he slept through the night, his rest wasn't good because of what happened with Liang Xiaohan, he spent the whole night having nightmares. Upon waking early, he experienced muscle aches as though he engaged in labor throughout the night. He moved his head slightly, attempting to get comfortable.
A sense of exhaustion came over so he continued to sleep. He wanted to seize the time while Liang Xiaohan was out and undisturbed during the day for a good sleep.
However, just as he lay down, his phone rang. He instinctively opened it and saw a message from Liang Xiaohan, simply saying good morning, leaving Hao Jian baffled. Liang Xiaohan saying good morning to him was totally unexpected.
And that was it.
Seeing this, Hao Jian had a bit of a Monk's bewildered feeling, completely confused.
Ignoring it, he went back to sleep. Perhaps because he really hadn't slept well last night, his eyes closed and he fell asleep in the next second.
He opened his eyes once more because of a phone call that suddenly came in.
A phone call woke him from his sleep, and upon opening his eyes, he saw sunlight refracting through the window; it seemed to be around one or two in the afternoon.
