Chapter 60 TARANIS
Chapter 60 TARANIS
Ariana: "Where did I put that book?"
Alan: "third shelf to the left"
Ariana: "Here it is, thanks, son."
Rosaline: "You are ridiculous, Alan. Your perception is even better than before by many times."
Mason: "It is slightly creepy; it's like you can see everything."
Lana: "But to be able to utilize the sensory art to such a degree is simply unheard of; it's amazing."
Carla: "Little brother, Do you know where I have put the damage report from yesterday?"
Laura: "That's upstairs; there's no way he knows where it is."
Alan: "Yeah, it has fallen right beside a basket that has a purple..."
Laura and Carla were listening attentively only for their faces to turn bright red.
Laura, Carla: "Stop!!!"
Alan: "It's good to see that you are making yourself at home."
Lana: "Wait, did he truly point to the whereabouts of the report upstairs? That's ridiculous."
Mason: "It hasn't even been 10 days since the incident with your eyes, and you are already like this."
Alan simply laughed it off, as he could not bring himself to tell them that although his sensory functions have been heightened multiple times compared to before, his newfound true sight is actually the result of his talent, the void God, which simply allowed him to capture everything that is in a 1 km circle in his vicinity. It was so freakish that it scared him at first, as he found that the amount of information was massive to include every single thing and variable inside 1 km, which was an ability that he did not even dream of previously, where he simply thought that the only thing that the void God could present was teleportation.
Carla: "We need to go to work."
Laura: "See you at dinner."
Alan, Ariana: "Stay safe."
Rosaline: "I did not want to bring it up, but sadly we have to go back in 3 days; there is so much work at home that Mason needs to attend to. I wish I could stay with big sis."
Lana was uncomfortable when she heard her mother talking about leaving.
Mason: "It can't be helped; after all, we have been out for more than a month and a half."
Ariana: "You can visit me anytime you want; you can stay here also. It will be lonely here without you all."
....
In the afternoon Alan was meditating in the training room, which was silent and peaceful.
Suddenly he felt a fluctuation of Ena coming from the corner of the room where he placed the hatching device to nourish and hatch the spider beast egg.
Nova was the first to feel it as she made her way to the corner; following her was Alan with a smile on his face as he could not wait to greet their new partner and family.
The fist-sized egg slowly broke from within a beautiful dark spider with red eyes that look like rubies.
Lily's fear evaporated as she drew closer to the corner of the room, sitting beside Nova as she watched the little spider eating and enjoying her feast. After a while, she started cutting pieces of the big chunk of meat and slowly feeding them to the little one.
Alan smiled and went back to his meditation.
...
Tomorrow was the last day for the hunts in Howler Town.
Lana, who was feeling suffocated by the tightness in her chest these last few days whenever she thought about leaving.
After dinner, Alan went to the garden to check on the shameless flower but was surprised when he saw Lana following him.
Lana: "Alan, can I... Can we talk?"
Alan: "Of course, come and have a seat."
After taking a seat, Lana looked at Alan, as she truly did not want to go back; she did not know when she would see Alan again.
Lana: "We will be leaving tomorrow evening if we... If we did not see each other, would you forget about me?"
Alan: "What!!... So this is what you are worried about. I felt that you were off the last few days. We have been through life and death together. That's something that cannot be forgotten at all.
Also, just look at Carla and Laura, as they will be moving to the capital soon to follow their grandfather. Do you think that they will forget about me or my mom or Lily or about our time here? Of course they won't."
Lana: "Wait, big sis, Carla and Laura are leaving for the capital. When?"
Alan: "Maybe one or two weeks after you, I guess, Carla was the one who informed me ...."
Lana sighed in relief, but the moment she did so, she was shocked by herself as she found that she was afraid of her big sisters making progress before her, which she felt very bad about.
Alan: "Anyway, that's beside the point. What I mean is those who fought in a life-and-death battle will have a special connection that is stronger than most, so there is no way in hell I will forget about you or big sis Carla and Laura."
Lana: "Special connection!"
Lana dazed As she hung up on the words special connection, she blushed and stood up from the table and ran back inside.
Alan: "Ahhhhhh."
Rosaline: "You truly have the makings of a top-notch womanizer."
Alan: "Please, I'm just a brat who is not feeling ready for such a thing."
Rosaline: "So you acknowledge your severe lack of experience."
Alan with both his eyes covered by a bandana under the night sky full of stars Sighed...
Alan: "If only I had a good teacher!!"
Rosaline, who did not see that coming, felt furious.
Rosaline: "Damn kid, now you are teasing your elders."
Alan simply laughed as he vanished from his seat.
