Chapter 88 INSTRUCTOR EUGENE (SLOW)

As he exited his room for another day of grilling training and classes, he was surprised to find someone leaning on the wall next to his door as if waiting for him.

Alan: "Good morning, senior. We usually meet halfway to the training room. Why are you here?"

No80: "I am here to get you because we are not going to the training room. Did you not receive the notification on your terminal yesterday?"

Alan: "Yes, and I looked through the database, but there was no mention of it. What does it mean, go down to the elevator?"

No80: "You will see soon; just follow me for now.

Did you bring your weapon with you?"

Alan: "Always."

Taking the two daggers hidden behind his back, he showed number 80 his readiness.

No. 80: "Good, let's go."

Both of them walk through the corridors that look like a maze.

Alan immediately noticed something out of the ordinary as they were now walking through areas Alan had never been to before.

Alan: "We are definitely not going to the training room, so where are we going?"

No. 80: "Patience, young man, you must have patience. Don't you like surprises?"

Alan: "No, I don't. Are you still mad about the girlfriend thing from before?"

The calm and collected expressions on number 80's face changed so fast as his face darkened and his eyebrows linked.

No. 80: "You're rubbing salt on the wound. I chose not to comment on that. We are having a completely different type of class today, so wait and see."

Both of them stayed silent until they reached a huge metallic door where they found the other seeds gathered there.

No. 80: "We are not late, are we?"

No. 18: "No, we are still waiting for the others to come."

No. 17: "I thought this fool would forget about you, number 33. I was just about to send you a message and inform you that we are gathering here.'

Alan: "Thank you, senior. But where is here?"

No. 80: "Oho, the unreasonable number 17 is actually worried about a junior."

No. 17: "Not everyone is as shallow as you, No. 80."

No. 80: "Although I believe you are unreasonable, I still have to warn you as your comrade. If you have any thoughts about our youngest, you are in for a lot of trouble.

Don't let his cute appearance deceive you; last time we talked, he told me that he had three girlfriends. If you are into that, be my guest and then become number four."

Number 17 blushed as she gave a menacing look to number 80, but she could not help herself from taking a look at her junior, who did not appear like a womanizer at all.

Instructor Eugene is one of the few instructors who is in charge of a special class.

This class is a mix of survival and mission execution training.

The duration of this class is different. We are given one week inside a different pocket dimension every month or two.

During this week we are giving an objective that we have to finish.

Of course the main priority is to survive in this new environment.

The second most important priority is the target or the objective that we are given by instructor Eugene.

We are not allowed to summon our beasts to help us at all.

We are not allowed to take any kinds of food or supplies.

The only thing that we are allowed to take with us is one weapon.

Plus, every time we enter a different pocket dimension, we encounter some kind of unexpected situation or, in layman's terms, a surprise prepared by the instructor.

Just think of it as an increased variable to increase the difficulty of the task.

Most of the time we are not allowed to work together, but on some of the pocket dimensions the directive you are given allows us to work together.

Alan: "Yes, thank you, Senior."

No. 80: "Imagine instructor Eugene explaining all of this to you; we would need an hour to go through the explanation."

In a very low voice, number 80 commented.

Instructor Eugene: "thank... you... number..... 18, today's....... objective ......is..... to ......assassinate..... a 9th stage..... beast, you.... can ...cooperate with ....each.... other .....but ...only three... of ...You..... allowed ....be.... in one .....team; I ....will ...send..... you.... the... information..... on.... the... target.

You.... are ...to.... survive..... and execute ...the.... mission ....within ....one week. Good... luck."

Alan's terminal received a message that contained the information about the target.

Species: The trimmer ursine

Description: The Tremor Ursine is a massive, prehistoric-looking bear beast. Its most striking feature is its thick, earth-toned fur, which is often matted with soil and small stones, providing natural camouflage.

* Its claws are not just long, but thick and blunt, resembling heavy digging tools. These, combined with powerful forelimbs, allow it to generate localized seismic tremors.

* A bony ridge runs along its spine, culminating in a thick, club-like tail. This tail is used for balance and, when necessary, to deliver devastating blows that can shatter rock and send shockwaves through the ground.

* Their jaws are heavily muscled, and their teeth are thick and strong to crush rocks and the tough hides of other beasts.

Tremor Ursines are solitary creatures, inhabiting mountainous regions and deep caverns. They are territorial and use their seismic abilities to mark their boundaries and deter rivals.

* They generate tremors by rhythmically striking the ground with their foreclaws or tail. These tremors can range from subtle vibrations, used for communication, to powerful shockwaves that can cause localized earthquakes.
