Chapter 92 POCKET DIMENSION (4)
Chapter 92 POCKET DIMENSION (4)
No. 80: "S***, that was one hell of a ride."
Alan: "It got us where we wanted to go, and that's what's important."
No. 9: "There's still some distance until the huge mountain. No time for rest; let's move."
No. 80: "Aye aye, Capitan."
The three-man team moved as fast as they could while staying vigilant, looking for any source of danger in their surroundings.
After more than half a day, they finally saw the end of the huge green sea of trees.
No. 80: "We're finally out!!"
No. 9: "Now we are in the open, so we need to be much more careful from here onward."
Alan: "I agree, we do not have the cover of the trees, so the probability of meeting beasts will increase."
No. 80: "You two are seriously downers; we made it here. Can't you be a little bit happier?
I don't think we will be seeing the others anytime soon."
Alan: "You never know; they may surprise us."
No. 9: "The only surprise I'm worried about is the surprise that was prepared by the instructor."
No. 80: "Let's move on; there's only one target, and we better be the ones who assassinate it."
Carefully navigating through that rocky terrain, even after they did their best to keep their presence hidden, they still encountered a few beasts, which they managed to kill or slip past.
The moment they reached the base of the mountain, they decided to take a rest and recover.
No. 80: "Do you feel that?"
No. 9: "There are numerous beasts on this mountain, and most of them are stronger than us."
No. 80: "How do we go about finding the target?"
Alan: "First we need to find a place to make camp, either a small cave at the base of the mountain or a grove, somewhere hidden.
Then we have to do some reconnaissance to try and determine the position of the target.
I'll be taking this task as I can teleport and run away in most situations, which makes it safer for me."
No. 80: "That sounds like a plan."
As they were moving stealthily, Alan managed to find a cave that was well hidden, which is the perfect place for a camp.
Alan: "There's a cave 800 m to the south of our location. It is well hidden, so let's go check it."
No. 9: "Let's go."
The moment they reached the cave, which looked dark on the inside, hidden behind two huge boulders.
No. 80: "Those boulders are the perfect cover for this cave; let's check the inside first."
Alan: "Surprisingly, it's very spacious."
No. 9: "I agree, the ceiling is 10 m high; from the outside, the entrance is so small that you can never think that this cave has such space."
No80: "It is too dark in here, let me light up the place"
Right at the center of the cave, number 80 releases a flare, keeping it suspended to light the cave up.
No. 9: "Look there!!"
The astonished expression on Number Nine's face confused both Alan and Number 80. They follow the direction she was pointing at to look for themselves.
No. 80: "That smells so good!!"
No. 9: "Good morning."
Alan: "Good morning, I'll be done in a few minutes; sit down."
No. 80: "Mmmmm, your cooking is seriously delicious; you could become a chef and get rich doing it."
No. 9: "Thank you, I'm sorry we did not help you at all."
No. 80: "Well, you should be extra sorry, number nine. I thought we would be tasting your cooking on This mission, sadly, what they say is true."
Alan: "And what do they say?"
No80: "The colder the beauty The more useless she is in the kitchen.
Number 9's face blushed as she gave Number 80 a deadly look.
No. 9: "I can cook very well for your information; I will do the cooking next time."
No. 80: "Please don't. I still want to taste this heavenly cooking of our junior, and I want to live longer. I don't want to die from poisoning."
Alan: "Hahahahahaha."
Unable to contain his laughter, Alan could only give in.
Meanwhile, number 9 was sending a frosty wave as number 80 felt the temperature around him drop down.
No80: "Stop, stop, stop. I was joking; please stop.
Alan: "I will get out to scout the area and locate a target after breakfast. I will be sending the video feed to your terminals."
No. 9: "Be careful out there."
Number 80's face turned serious as he talked to Alan.
No. 80: "Don't take any unnecessary risks, you hear me?"
Alan: "I won't, and I will be careful. You stay here and watch your terminal."
After breakfast, Alan exited the cave as he went on to search for the target.
The first thing he did was increase his perception by using the void god talent; every time he used his talent, he felt as if he was training a muscle.
The more he trained it and used it, the stronger it became. He always felt intoxicated and somewhat nauseated whenever his perception blended with the void.
It only took a few seconds for him to register all kinds of information around him; after that, he immediately teleported to a different location.
The spot right where he was standing previously suddenly was attacked by a huge fireball, making a crater that was 10 m wide.
Alan: "Seniors Do you hear me?"
No80: "We can hear you."
Alan: "This mountain is very massive; I use my perception to the fullest, but I can't cover the whole mountain.
From what I got, I felt the presence of at least seven 9th stage beasts from the area that I covered."
Inside the cave, number 80 and number nine expressions turned dire.
No. 80: "This is bad!!"
Alan: "They are numerous, but they are scattered all around."
No. 9: "That is not what he means. If there are numerous ninth-stage beasts all around us, then there is the possibility of a beast with a cultivation that is higher than the ninth stage to exist as the mountaintop.
Otherwise the multiple ninth stage beasts will not live so closely to each other."
Alan: "Wait a minute, I feel something. WTF."
