Chapter 139 End Of The Ceremony & Meeting
Chapter 139 End Of The Ceremony & Meeting
'Kiara, huh?' Arin thought. 'She said something about a certain mother, and I don't think she's talking about Arin's mother.'
Arin furrowed his brows. 'So what could it be....?'
'I'll find out... I know that for sure.....'
Arin continued talking with Roxanne, and her smile didn't show any sign of fading.
A few minutes later, Orion once again went to the raised platform, gaining the attention of the students.
He put his hands behind his back before speaking. "I know most of you must have been wondering when the holiday would arrive."@@@@
He paused for a few seconds, his gaze sweeping through the crowd of students.
"Well," he continued, "it'll surely arrive, but I won't say it's soon."
The look on the faces of the students made it clear that they were unsatisfied with his announcement, and some of them even began mumbling.
"Ugh.... Then he wouldn't have even made the announcement if the date was not close."
"I was just thinking the same thing..... This is messed up."
The murmurs continued, though the people murmuring were mostly first-year students. Second-year students looked almost disinterested in the announcement.
AHEM
As soon as Orion cleared his throat, the murmurs instantly stopped.
"I know most of you are not happy with this announcement," Orion said. "But there have been certain rumors going around, so I just wanted to clear things up."
Orion concluded the announcement about the holiday before moving on to the final announcement.
"With this," he announced, "we have successfully concluded the ceremony!"
Everyone began clapping with smiles on their faces. Though there weren't many events, the ceremony was still enjoyable nonetheless. Only the music, dances, calm atmosphere, and chit-chat were enough for the students.
Orion left the stage, and the music instantly continued.
Some still stayed inside to dance while some had already begun walking out of the hall, either to talk with their friends outside or to go to their rooms.
Arin glanced at Roxanne. "Let's go."
Roxanne nodded her head, her excitement still visible. "Okay, I'll be right back."
She walked towards Riya and exchanged a few words with her before taking the flower from her and walking back towards Arin.
With that, both of them began walking out of the hall.
Though, before they stepped out, Arin turned back and looked at Riya, who was also looking at him with a smile.
He nodded at her, and she also nodded back before he left the hall. Your next read is at My Virtual Library Empire
The moon was present, sending down a soft glow as students filled outside.
As Arin was walking with Roxanne, he suddenly felt someone rushing towards him from behind.
Though he couldn't sense any killing intent, so he didn't turn back. Instead, he decided to wait for the person.
Finally.....
"Wait...."
Arin heard a girl's voice before someone grabbed his hand.
He instantly turned back, and like he suspected, it was Tessa.
Arin stared at Tessa. "Oh.... It's you. I was shocked for a second."
Tessa smiled. "Sorry if I scared you."
"No, it's okay," Arin replied.
Tessa was about to continue talking, but that was when she noticed Roxanne, who was standing near Arin. She also noticed the flower she was holding.
Putting that aside, Arin finished preparing and was ready to leave.
Immediately, Roxanne saw that she transformed into a bracelet, and Arin wore it.
"Bye!" Seraphine exclaimed as she sat down on the bed, ready to practice.
Arin frowned. "Don't scream like that..... A boy might hear your voice."
"Okay, okay," Seraphine said.
Arin glanced at the gown Roxanne wore last night that was on the bed.
'I almost forgot that.....'
He quickly put it inside his inventory.
'I'll give it to Riya when classes are over.'
With that, he left the room and exited the dorm building.
A few minutes later, he arrived at the main Academy building before entering his class.
The class was slowly getting filled up, but Arin's eyes were fixated on the door as if he was waiting for someone.
Finally, a girl with long purple hair walked into the classroom.
Arin squinted his eyes. "Kiara....."
**********
Inside a spacious room, a large table with chairs around it was present.
The chairs were all occupied, but nobody was yet to say anything.
All the teachers, including Riya, were the ones seated on the chairs, with Principal Orion and the Assistant Principal.
Finally, Orion cleared his throat as he began. "First of all, thank you all for making the ceremony a success yesterday. All of you really put effort into it, and I appreciate that."
"Thank you," all the teachers said in unison.
Orion nodded his head. "Now, that aside. I called this meeting for two reasons."
He glanced at the teachers before he continued. "The first reason is the upcoming tournament, and the second reason...."
He paused as he stared at Riya.
"The second reason is related to Miss Riya's behavior in the expedition."
Ben nodded his head as he glanced at Riya.
"We'll be starting with the second reason," Orion said.
"First of all," he began, "everything has been explained to me by the other teachers."
"Miss Riya," Orion said, making Riya look at him. "You have a lot of explanation to do."
Riya placed her hands on the table. "I have no problem with that....."
Orion raised a brow. "Okay, then."
"Mr Ben's proposal to check what caused that loud explosion wasn't wrong, right?"
"I believe it was wrong," Riya said, making Orion squint his eyes.
Even the other teachers couldn't help but glance at Riya.
Meanwhile, as usual, the Assistant Principal was sleeping... Even in an important meeting like this.
But surprisingly, Orion didn't even tell her anything..... He didn't even look bothered by it.
"If that's the case," Orion said. "I believe you have a good reason for thinking his proposal was wrong."
At this point, the other teachers realized that the tension in this room was going to be insane.
