Chapter 439 Watermelon Sugar… High
Chapter 439 Watermelon Sugar… High
[HAWI]
"Hey Sebastian, look out!" Ruru screamed out suddenly in concern, before her screams turned into psychotic laughter. It was all so sudden that Hawi and Malika who had been watching her, wondered what the fuck was happening.
Rukiya, who had been ready to lock Hawi and Malika in the room was now standing there, with the same blade she had willfully snatched from Malika, pointing it at Sebastian who had managed to trip and fall to the ground.
It was no accident and they all could see it, but then it wasn't like Ruru cared one bit. She had sworn to bear the brunt of whatever it took to keep Hawi sane.
She had promised herself that she would do whatever she had to do to make sure her mate was okay and she wasn't about to break that promise. It didn't matter what she did because at the end of the day, it wasn't hard to tell that whatever she did, she always did it for Hawi.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" an exasperated Sebastian asked when he turned around and saw the smirk on Ruru's face.
The woman was looking at him like the world was all sunshine and he was the one mess she needed to clean up to make things better for the lot of them. It was not right but then no one was complaining at the moment, right?
"Opps, I guess?" Ruru said as she blasted the blade that he had been holding and directed the sharks at Sebastian, with other shards intentionally going past the warlock and into the bushes where painful gasps were heard.
"What the fuck did you just do?!" Sebastian asked angrily as he used his magic to remove the shards from his body.
It was all so painful and he hated it. The fact that he was bested by a woman and that too one who we supposed to be on their side pissed him off more than anything he could have imagined.
It was like the world was fucking with him in every phase and yet even then there was always going to be a trace of the Savasci knights.
"Saving us both from unwarranted attacks," Hawi responded amusedly as she stared at her mate. She hadn't expected that Ruru would do this but then she was doing it and it was interesting as fuck.
This was not what she had imagined but perhaps new approaches were needed for the enemy who thought they knew what the hell was going on with them all the damn time, yeah? Or was there another reason for this sudden brevity by the Greyson girl?
"The fuck does that even mean?" Malika asked, not sure she was on the same page as the white wolf. Perhaps this was what insanity was brewing to, but even then this was too singing even for Rukiya Greyson who had been holding them back the entire time.
"You really are a piece of work, aren't you, little niece? Why don't you cross over to this side and let us deal with the woman? We can let you have all her power, as long as she doesn't live," Sebastian said and Ruru chucked emotionlessly.
She had been hearing the same thing for everyone who claimed to be her family. But then again, family was never supposed to hurt the people they voted. Family was supposed to be understanding and caring.
Family was supposed to be like home and yet hers had grown so unhinged in every aspect that instead of morning they were looking to take out more of them.
Perhaps it was what Ruru had to go through to understand what was found for her and Hawi, but was it all there was?
"You really can't be here blaming me for being the person you and your siblings created, no? Anyway, what are you going to do to me? I'll have you know that my mate won't even lift a finger because I locked her in the temple.
"This is between us," Ruru stated snarkily. She despised the situation and even as she saw Jer show up in the distance. She wouldn't help but wonder what there was or this bunch of warlocks that made them that strong a fear across the realm.
Maybe they instilled more fear with their magic and didn't do too much after that, right? but then if they had tried to eliminate them one too many times and field then perhaps it was just a rumor then, yeah? Well, that didn't matter to Ruru right now.
"Or we could just kill you since you're the only weak link to the crazy psycho," Alex said and they all looked at him.
"What? Don't tell me we came all this way for a family reunion with the girl whose mother we killed indirectly," Alex added as if to prove a point.
