The Rejected Alpha's Vengeance

Chapter 441 The One to Blame?

Chapter 441 The One to Blame?

[HAWI]

"Heard you wanted a piece of me. Come get it then," Hawi said once she was certain that Rukiya had reached the Sicario borders. It had been a risky thing for her to do, especially in a palace where magic was bound to be unsteady.

Maybe she was truly unhinged or maybe she wanted to keep her mate pure.

That was an ionic ideology given who Rukiya Greyson was, but then it wasn't hard to tell that the white wolf and her protectors were humanity's greatest evil, especially if they had no one to keep them sane and to let them hold onto their humanity.

"You sent her away?" Malika asked when Hawi reached where she was. She had loosened her hold on Sebastian for a moment there as she tried to make it all make sense.

There was just no way that Awuor Hawi had let go of one of the most resourceful people they had. It was insane, and perhaps that was what Hawi was aiming for. Having Ruru close meant that Hawi would always worry about her mate.

Granted, she was certain that Rukiya Greyson would be able to hold her own for a while. but then she didn't need to be the reason her mate suffered anymore.

She couldn't let her see the worst side of her because Hawi was certain that if Ruru saw her as a beast then there wasn't anything on the face of the universe that would make Ruru see her differently.

That was the one risk that Hawi couldn't take, which was why she sent Ruru home, however unfair it seemed.

"Why, you scared we won't defeat a bunch of useless fucks determined to make the life of everyone a mess?" Hawi teased.

Malika snapped Sebastian's arm in response. She wasn't worried for Hawi or Ruru because she knew they could handle themselves. Honestly, the decision had just surprised her seeing how much they had both endured to get to this place.

But perhaps Hawi was done putting her mate in danger and wanted the best for the love of her life. If anything wasn't that what they were all hoping for anyway? A better life with more to hold onto than what life could give them?

Would it make them feel any better to know that no matter how hard they fought, the fates had already decided to pair them with their teams in ways that couldn't be broken?

Would love be enough to keep the bonds steady or was it something they would have to give up because there's just more at stake than they could ever admit out loud? Oh, but it was something that broke the hearts of many and those involved.

There was nothing that screamed peace between them and it was gut-wrenching with every blow they went each other's way. Your journey continues at empire

"What did you say? I didn't hear you over that whacko's blasts," Malika shouted as she strangled Alex while Trey punched the shit out of her, it was a dangerous position, seeing as Trey spent his entire life in training.

But then Jabali Malika was not just the most powerful protector in the realm because of some politicking, she had earned that position by her strength and her powers. She was skilled and the Russels seemed to not understand that just yet.

However, lucky for them these two nutjobs had all the time in the world.

"I asked if you think Ruru will forgive me for sending her way like that. She seemed so determined to protect me from this bunch of crazies, it was really heartwarming but then I had to," Hawi said.

Malika laughed as she kept getting punches.

She wasn't even bothered to block them. Trey was using her as his punching bag and she was released and causally choking the life out of Alex like this wasn't the kind of fight the man would win, even if he had the support of his siblings.

It was somewhat disappointing to know that the Russels were already using their magic while Malika and Hawi were casually testing them like light annoying bumps on their skin. It wasn't fair, not after everything the Russels had done to get to this point.

Well, that would have been heartwarming and all, if the psychos cared one bit about that. But then again, the remaining Savasci knights didn't give two shits about what was right and wrong at this point. The only thing that mattered was going back home.

"I think you won't get laid for quite a long time, Mistress," Malika laughed as she broke Alex's leg, earning a gut-wrenching scream from the man.

"He screams like a girl, fuck."
