Chapter 477 The Lowest of All Lows Perhaps
[SICARIO]
"You should have known better than coming after Sicario, Sebastian," Hudhayfah said with a smirk as he stepped on Alex's neck, something that got Seb staring in shock.
Who the fuck were these people they had come to battle with and how the hell did they manage to be that fast and unhinged?
"You all are crazy," Alex whined as he regained consciousness and the Hudhayfah off of him with his magic, but it didn't affect the man in any way. It was like the healer was impervious to all magic, and this didn't take any god for the Russel brothers.
This wasn't how they were defeated here in Sicario.
"Oh yeah, get in line. You might meet even crazier ones once they come to Sicario," Hudhayfah said as he blasted Latex with his magic so hard that Alex sprained his leg.
Hudhayfah was still brutal even then to the point that Sebastian had to step up and save his brother. They were with the magic of their siblings but that didn't mean that Hudhayfah was still never going to be able to kick their asses.
This was the greatest of the worst decisions they had made, especially with the way their warriors were falling like flies.
The Sicario warriors didn't have any magic so it made no sense to Sebastian that they would be this strong and even have the upper hand despite everything.
This was not fair.
It was not what they had bargained for, but then the longer they interacted with the people of Sicario, the more they realized that there were levels of insanity that the Savasci warriors would always find themselves in.
And it was the kind that got the moon goddess staring in shock and pride at the same time. Perhaps he could try that, right?
"For someone who doesn't know where the fuck his Perihan is, you sure have a mouth on you," Alex bit back bitterly as he stared at Hudhayfah, who had faltered in his steps.
Of all the things Hudhayfah had been expecting in war, hearing that word, was not it. He had struggled to keep up with everything that was happening. He had taken a lot of energy and forced himself to come out of the shell that had been with his mate.
Sure, he wasn't giving up on his mate, but he couldn't let his mate be a distraction to him in the worst battle of all. That would mean he failed his friends and frankly. They would be worse than any betrayal they had ever experienced.
This wasn't how life was supposed to be, but what were the chances that Alex was bluffing?
It was a cruel thing for him to suggest right now, given what they had done to Trey, but perhaps this was the only way to make sure they had a higher chance of making ends meet.
He had never thought that they would be able to make that happen. It was a cruel reality and for a moment, Hudhayfah wanted to call this a distraction.
However, the rage and the disappointment in Alex's eyes when he talked of the brother who couldn't make it to war, was so obvious and so filled with a desire for murder that Hudhayfah couldn't help but think that there was that possibility.
Perhaps he was thinking too much. Perhaps he was over-assigning things but what were the odds that this was just a joke for them?
"Oh, please. Who the fuck hasn't heard the name Perihan? It's not like anyone ever assumes that of anything. Perihan is one of the common names out there.
"If you decided to lock your brother up, it's a shame on your end, because here I am, kicking your ass and you can't do shit about it," Hudhayfah said proudly, though he was raging too.
He hated that there was truly a possibility that Alex wasn't playing games with him. He despised the fact that maybe just maybe this was true. Hell, who was he kidding? They were in a war that determined the fate of the realm.
Of course, they would use every single weapon they had on the enemy and in this case, the enemy was Hudhayfah, especially to the Russels.
Hudhayfah was so important that the Russels couldn't even think of harming him, because if they harmed Hudhayfah, they would have a niece who would want them dead and one who wouldn't think twice before making them pay.
Rukiya was dangerous just as Hawi and the fact that she had toned down a bit, made them wonder what the fuck she was thinking. But at the same time, Sebastian had wished that Rukiya would have some sort of awakening that would help the win the war.
But would that ever happen when Rukiya hated her mother with all of her?
"Whatever floats your boat, healer. You and I both know that I am not lying. Why did you think Maiana was adamant about coming to the mission too? She wanted to be sure that you were Trey's mate.
"And when she confirmed it earlier, she decided not to step into the battlefield, because she knew she would be a liability to our mission. My sister gave her magic up because she couldn't bear to see the pain in Mbali's face whenever we won.
"My brother, my sweet little Trey, gave up his powers because he didn't have the balls to come and meet you for the first time in battle. He said he couldn't trust himself, that he was certain he would side with you, a man he had never seen and one he had only ever heard of.
"He couldn't risk the family for you, because if he stepped here, he would fight us. Just think of what you did to my brother, you old hag. Who the fuck even paired you with my sweet little brother, huh?" Alex growled.
Hudhayfah had just heard enough, he hated what was happening, he despised it all but more than anything, he hated the fact that Alex was rubbing in his wounds so cruelly and wouldn't even let him think.
So, Hudhayfah chose to fight speechlessly.
It was, after all, what he was good at, right?
