Chapter 526 Both Our Eyes Lock To The Tide
[SICARIO]
Hudhayfah was freaking out for the first time since he had started interacting with everyone here. They had all shared more than their lives together.
They had shared love, pain, hate, anger, and all the emotions that could have been possible which was why it was hard for him to walk back into the room that they had been laughing in barely an hour ago.
They had been worried earlier, as a team, because of Kia, but right now, Hudhayfah Karim was worried about his team.
He was worried about what they were thinking of him, letting himself be kissed like a kid in heat right outside their gates without any shame. He should have tried to stop Trey but he didn't have it in him to do that.
He didn't understand what was happening and by the time he had snapped out of it, he was alone with Trey.
That wasn't how he intended for things to go, which was also perhaps why he spoke the words that had come out of his mouth once he and Trey walked into the council room.

"Whatever decision you make for me, I shall accept it without question. Whatever punishment you see fit, I will accept it. I only have one request. Instead of sentencing me to the dungeons, please punish me by stripping me of whatever powers I have.
"That is all I have to ask for what I just did outside the gates of Sicario. I know it isn't what you expected, and I won't defend myself, not this time. I will accept whatever comes my way," Hudhayfah said in earnest.
His head was bowed after his speech out of respect, though it was because he knew it was going to be his final bow here. He didn't want to put them in a position where they would have to choose between him and the people of Sicario.
Hawi and Rukiya loved the people of Sicario and Greyson and they eventually merged into one Sicario, it was still the greatest pride of the realm. Hudhayfah had loved serving the people and being there to help out wherever he could.
Maybe if he had opened his mind links he would have been able to tell but then he didn't, he had shut everything down like he didn't want to know what the others were through.
He was scared of what he would do, so he muted himself, in the house that it would all get better eventually. However, even then, Hudhayfah knew he was hoping for the impossible.
"Thank you," he voiced as he sat on the seat next to Amina. His usual seat was empty, and none of the Savasci knights had sat on it. It was like they were trying to tell him that he was still one of them.
But that was a little hard when he was with the enemy now. So much could go wrong and Hudhayfah didn't want trouble. He was aware of what would come for him, so he just hoped that they would listen to his plea.
He didn't mind being out there in the world living like a powerless warlock, despite all that he had dealt with, or even the endless enemies he had accumulated over the years.
He would probably be dead in a day or two because of his enemies, but that was a punishment he was willing to take on. Then again, was it that bad for him to accept a mate bond? Was it a crime to fall in love and be loved?
"We are all back here because the matter at hand is very delicate and we need to address it before the chaos spreads," Malika began and Hudhayfah sighed. He was already blaming himself for this.
Their people had seen him associate with the enemy and the rumors would eventually spread. Sicario would be unlivable and he was to blame for all of that regardless of what he tried to do to make it tight.
There was so much that was hovering over them like a dark cloud and Hudhayfah hated that he was part of the reasons that this shit had happened.
No one deserved to be treated like that and Hudhayfah knew he would apologize for that toll at the end of time. He wasn't opposed to it, really. He was ready to take whatever was planned for him, just like he had mentioned earlier to them.
This was a reality check.
"Sebastian and Alex handed over Jer, to save their two siblings. That debt was long paid..."
