[HAWI]

"Awuor?" Elodie's voice sliced through the silence. She had never thought that this day would come. She had hopefully dreamt of it more than once but she had never imagined it would be like this.

Now that she thought about it, there was never a definite way for Hawi to come home. Her sister had been away for the longest time and she was just glad that she was seeing her right now.

However, the disbelief written all over her face was a reminder that Hawi needed to know that other wolves probably were in the same state. She had told them she would be coming home.

She had come back unannounced, like a thief in the evening and yet even then she seemed to be a little confused about their reaction more than she understood the emperors that were spread in the merged mind link.

This was not how any of them had imagined and it was crazy.

"You're here?" Elodie asked before she rushed to her sister to hug her. It was more than obvious that she had doubts about whether this was her sister, but at the same time, she couldn't fit it in herself to stay away.

Her sister had been gone for far too long and Elodie Kane hoped that this time, Haw wouldn't leave. Sure, she wasn't certain that this woman was truly her sister and not a miracle by the Russel girl, but then that didn't seem to matter right now.

All she cared about was her sister, the girl she had spent years and years missing like the world was only revolving around her.@@@@

Perhaps it was the worst that could possibly happen, to be played with like it meant nothing, but that was a risk that Elodie Kane was more than willing to give up her fortune for.

She had nothing that could hold her back with her sister and she sneezed Hawi to be here to be alive, to be right in front of her otherwise she would have done many brain farts.

Hawi had turned down every conversation about home so it wasn't making any sense to Mbali that she suddenly had a change of heart. That was even more ridiculous than akin up to fight the crown just because they were bred and wanted to write action in their lives.

Oh, how Mbali knew there was something else, but she would wait it out.

The only thing she hoped for was for Hawi to not sacrifice herself again, because then it would be the hardest of thighs for the realm and most especially the Savasci knights. They had to be better, right?

"Lihle," Malika breathed as she made her way past Hawi with a smile and went over to where her sister was at the moment.

They hadn't seen each other for a while and Hawi was honestly amazed by the amount of restraint that Malika Jabali was exercising right now.

She had seen the way the sisters had fought to stay together over the five years that had passed before the long night, and she knew that Malika had to have had it the worst, seeing as she had been determined to give the best to her sister.

Of course, to some extent, Hawi wanted to blame herself for the decision back then, but it was the only way for them to heal.

It was the only way that they wouldn't end up being bitter about not having mates while their friends had their mates and were all lovey-dovey and shit with them. Stay connected through My Virtual Library Empire

"Three hundred years, Lihle," Malika whispered as she stared at her sister who was watching her with a smile on her face.

This was the first time that Mbali openly smiled at Malika who was so excited about it that she would have jumped off a roof in happiness just to show the world what this moment meant to her.

She could feel herself getting giddy and Malika wasn't about to deny herself that feeling. Time had been the greatest test of their lives and right now, no matter what happened along the way, there was no reason for them to be apart.

It was something that they had thought of and they both knew that they had to fight back, even if time was what they had to fight too.

"Felt like a million years, Freya," Mbali admitted as her sister embraced her heartily.
