Chapter 892 - 918: Don’t Let Me Die (4)
"Can you really find someone like this?" Aiden Jiang’s gaze fell on her feet. "Have Little Lee take you back to rest."
The new assistant he brought back is named Jake Lee.
At this moment, hearing him speak, Jake naturally glanced at Mia Ginger instinctively.
Mia shook her head, depressed, "I can’t be at ease if we can’t find him. How about this?"
She glanced at Aiden Jiang and suggested, "You and my mom drive to the library, Brother Lee and I will look together. He doesn’t know anyone yet; he’s not familiar with Cloud Capital either, so one person can’t manage the search."
"Your foot is okay?" Aurora Cooper also glanced at her foot.
Mia shook her head.
"Alright then, as you said, we’ll split up and keep in touch by phone." Aiden Jiang made a decision.
The four of them split into two groups to look for Bob Ginger.
The homeroom teacher said he didn’t come to school in the morning, so Mia followed the bars near the school towards Cloudy Capital. Nearly an hour passed, and there was still no progress.
She and Jake Lee got into a taxi again.
Mia checked her phone and saw it was already past eleven.
Where could Bob Ginger be?
She frowned, thinking randomly, and suddenly thought of two places,
Given his disposition, would he go to see Charlotte Chester and Zuri Ginger?
"Driver, let’s go to Longpine Funeral Home first." Mia looked up and spoke to the uncle driving.
The driver hadn’t responded yet when her phone suddenly rang.
Louis Cox?
Mia glanced at it and answered, "Hello?"
"Bob Ginger is with me," Louis said directly. "See if any of your family can come over to pick him up shortly."
Mia was dazed for a moment before coming to her senses and quickly said, "I’m coming over right now. Where are you?"
"Secret Night." Louis reported the location.
As expected, it was a bar.
Mia thought irritably and replied, "Is he drunk? Keep an eye on him, I’m coming over right away, quickly."
Her tone was urgent, and Louis was a bit surprised, then helplessly responded, "He’s asleep. Don’t worry, take your time, be safe on the road, I’m watching him."
"Okay, okay." Mia replied repeatedly.
Hanging up the phone, she quickly informed Aiden Jiang and Aurora Cooper that Bob had been found.
She was not far from where Louis said, and arrived quickly.
Little Patten was waiting for her at the door, saw her getting out from afar, and hurriedly waved, calling out, "Sister Mia."
As the words fell, he saw Mia propping herself on a crutch, looked surprised, and quickly ran over, "What’s happened to you?"
"Just twisted my foot accidentally," Mia glanced at Jake Lee and introduced, "This is my friend, River Lee. This is my dad’s assistant; uh, also named Lee. You seem quite destined."
Little Patten chuckled, greeted Jake Lee, and led her inside.
At noon, the bar was almost empty.
Very quiet.
After a while, the three turned two corners and stopped outside a private room.
Several bodyguards were stationed at the door.
Seeing Little Patten calling Sister Mia, they couldn’t help but glance at Mia twice.
Having been by Louis Cox’s side for a while, they naturally understood his thoughts. With the Ginger Family’s recent uproar, it was hard not to pay attention.
The bodyguard bowed and opened the door.
Mia stepped inside and saw Louis smilingly leaning against the sofa.
"Sister Mia!" Maeve was kneeling on the sofa, and as she saw her, she slipped down from the sofa and ran to her, smiling and calling out. Originally wanting to hug her, she hesitated seeing her crutch, froze in place, and looked up asking, "What happened to your foot?"
