Keith, Jin, and Qin Feng had to sit at the waiting table for a good two hours before the ladies finally decided on their outfits.
Perhaps, they would have finished sooner had Wang Sisi not been giving her unasked-for input in all the dresses. But if anything she was good at, it was her keen sense of fashion, and even the attendants agreed with all her suggestions.
Though Feifei was uncomfortable with having this girl around, having clearly sensed from her that she was not helping them out of sincerity, even did not show it on her face and kept an indifferent expression throughout the affair.
"Let's get some Jewellery next. I need to get some as well." Wang Sisi told them.
"Don't you want to get some clothes?" Wei Jia curiously asked, and Sisi shook her head.
"I am going to be wearing my mother's wedding dress. It is a tradition in our family. And I only came here for some Jewellery and our Wedding Bands and Rings."
"Okay. And thank you for the help." The older lady politely said, and Sisi told her that it was fine and that she was glad that she could be of help to them.
Her behaviour left quite an impression on Wei Jia, who thought that the girl was likely not as bad as her niece made her out to be, but Baobao knew better.
However, she too did not care about what was happening after she saw that her friend was fine with Wang Sisi accompanying them in their shopping. Though curious why Feifei was acting so restrained today, she guessed that it was likely because her friend did not want to snub and disrespect her newly married classmate in front of her husband.
Besides, after what had happened to Wang Sisi in the last two days, a lot of people around them were quite worried for her, and perhaps, that was also the reason why Feifei was a little restrained.
And why wouldn't they be worried?
What happened to Sisi, and all the news and rumours that were travelling around, was quite sensitive and questionable. After all, one of the rumours was that she had been raped in a drunken state, and the Wang Family was forcing her to get marrows to the man to mask the shame.
Maybe her happiness was just a mask, or maybe she truly was fine and the rumours were fake? But only a cold-hearted person would want to make things harder on her if there was the slightest chance that the rumours were true.
And the rumours were indeed true. They all knew the truth.
"Feifei, do you want to get something for yourself?" Sisi asked as they approached the Jewellery Section of the store, and Keith smiled when his bride looked back at him.
"No. Keith had already got me everything." She told the girl, and Wang Sisi brightly smiled as she looked back at him.
"Would you tell us what you bought for Feifei, Master Demiliore?"
"No," He replied, evoking a smile on his Bride's face and freezing the one on Sisi's face. "They are a surprise for Feifei, so, I would rather not reveal them to anyone else before her."
"Oh..." Wang Sisi understandingly nodded her head. "But don't the Bride and Groom pick the Wedding Bands together?" She sceptically asked.
"We don't have such a tradition in our family." He shook his head.
"You wouldn't even buy her a gift today?" She teasingly asked, and at this point, everyone, including Qin Feng could feel that Sisi was really pushing things now.
However, to their relief, Keith just smiled and replied to her question.
"It's so pretty!" Sisi exclaimed and then pleading looked at Baobao. "This is perfect for what I have been looking for. I have been searching for something like this to wear at the dinner after the reception. Please, Baobao, let me have it."
Her act was so convincing that it fooled the attendants, but everyone else had a hunch by now that she was deliberately making things difficult for him.
"Qin Feng, isn't it pretty?!" She excitedly picked up the necklace and showed it to her husband, and Jin, who was standing by Keith's side, clenched his fist.
He could tell that Wang Sisi was deliberately targeting Baobao, and he was more upset when his girlfriend just nodded her head.
"You can have it." Baobao smiled at her.
"Thank you!"
"No problem." She said and then tried to search for something else.
However, Feifei, Keith, Jin, and Jia could tell that she was upset in her heart. She just did not want to provide the opportunity for Wang Sisi to create a scene here, and she was sure that if she refused her, some very unpleasant rumours would soon start circulating about her in their circle.
More than anything, she did not want to have people make things difficult for her and Jin.
"Bao..." Jin was about to step forward to talk to her when Keith grabbed his hand and stopped him.
The young boy frowned when he was handed a small case.
"You owe me for this." Keith playfully whispered close to his ear and then gestured for him to give it to his girlfriend.
Jin hesitated, thinking whatever was inside the case was originally meant for Feifei, but when he saw his cousin smile at him as well, he nodded and then stepped forward.
He did not know what was inside it, and he blushed a little when he tapped Baobao's shoulder and she turned to look at him.
"For you."
Baobao curiously looked at the case, and her heart started racing.
By now, they had all the attention of the attendants, and even Wang Sisi and Qin Feng, who were finalising their purchases.
And the moment Baobao opened the case and one of the most breathtaking pieces of jewellery the ladies had ever seen came to light, they involuntarily gasped.
Jin too dumbfoundedly stared at the beautiful heart-shaped pendant and the blue diamond inside it, and his head felt a little dizzy as he tried guessing how much it was worth.
However, when he found Baobao in a trance, he put the worries aside and smiled.
"Come, on! Help her wear it!" Feifei was the first to regain her bearings, and she teasingly pushed him to put it on Baobao's neck, and she laughed in her heart when she sensed Wang Sisi burning in envy as she stared at the pendant.
