[Ding! Congratulations Host for completing the Main Quest 7.7! Qin Roulan, the Heroine of Destiny, has been successfully conquered. Rewards: 5000 System Points. 1000 Fate Points. 1500 System Exp. Battle Art: The Wandering Messenger's Mysterious Steps (Grade: Heaven). A Storage Ring (Grade: Sky). Bracelet with the purest Green Diamonds.]
After checking the pending notifications, Keith took out the Quest Reward and looked at the Crystal in his hand that contained the Heaven Grade Movement Art.
Unlike the Nine Discs of Demise and the Six Swords or Judgement, this Battle Art was focused on Movement Techniques. And since it was not inherently a destructive Art, it was categorised as Heaven Grade instead of Hell Grade.
And it seemed like the System was deliberately rewarding him with the things he needed the most at the time, which he was glad about.
"Thank you." He said and then channelled his Aura and Mana inside the Crystal, learning the secrets of this Movement Technique.
Exactly 18 hours later, Keith opened his eyes, and a bright smile crossed his lips.
Though this Battle Art was the same Grade as the other two Battle Arts rewarded by the System, in his eyes, it was far more precious.
The Movement Arts could decide the difference between life and death, help you escape from the clutches of enemies, help you travel long distances swiftly and more efficiently, and help your movements in battles, giving you an edge.
Combined with the offensive and defensive Battle Arts, your offensive and defensive capabilities could be enhanced. Therefore, Movement Arts, especially those that were of such a high Grade, were very precious.
However, what was truly special about this Movement Art was that it was the first of the set of two Movement Arts created by the original Hermes, and this was exactly what the current Inheritor of Hermes used to travel around.
Despite the System classifying it as a Haven Grade Battle Art, it was more of Quasi-Immortal Grade Art. And Keith was very happy right now.
For the next few hours, Keith rushed out of the Palace and then ran in a random direction, utilising the First Form of the Mysterious Steps.
Every time his feet stepped on the ground or in the air, his Amethyst Aura blinked under his feet, and then he left behind an afterimage and covered a distance of hundreds of meters in a second.
At his fastest, he was travelling faster than the speed of sound, but there were no sonic booms, and he was not even using his Mana to block them.
His movements had no sound at all.
What was truly amazing was how utilising this Movement Art kept replenishing his Aura and Mana that he was spending on running as fast as he could. Yes, he was not getting all 100% of it back when he breached the limits, only 25%, but this was still quite outrageous.
Keith also knew that if he lowered his speed, eventually he would reach a threshold where there would no longer be any cost of Aura and Mana at all.
Of course, it was not just because of the Movement Art but because of his Bloodline as well.
A Lesser Race would never be able to reach such results, no matter how much they perfected this skill.
When he tested the First Form of Mysterious Steps, he also tested the Second Form, where he utilised his Elemental Control and used the nature of the Elements to boost his speed even further.
The Mana and Aura drain was quite harsh compared to the First Form, but the speed was much faster too.
Depending on the Element he was using, his speed and the Aura and Mana drain varied, and clearly using Lightning, Light, and Darkness yielded the best results.
At the Second Level, his movements were no longer silent, except for when he utilised Darkness, but he loved the sound of crackling Lightning, as well as the flaring sound of Fire that he left behind when using those two Elements. However, both of these Elements were better used high up in the air, lest he wanted to leave behind a trail of destruction in his wake.
For quite some time, he lost himself to these new sensations and loved how he could travel much faster than before.
Even though he could use his Spatial Powers to Teleport, it was nowhere close to the level of fun he was having right now.
And his happiness did not go unnoticed by a certain blue-eyed girl, who was sitting on the steps at the front of the Palace, watching the two White Foxes playing around with the little Black Cub on the front lawn.
"Did something good happen?" Kiara smiled and curiously asked when he walked over to her.
"I learned Hermes's Movement Art." He truthfully told her and grinned at the surprise on her face.
"Teach me!" She immediately said as she shot up on her feet, putting on a pleading expression.
10 Cubic Metres was a far cry from the 510 Cubic Metres, and the difference in quality was even greater.
However, the thought of keeping them for himself never crossed his mind.
Keith then spent a few minutes filling up these rings with the things that his dear wives might need in the Lower Heaven, and he did not pay attention to the consumption of Fate Value.
Now, only the Cultivation Arts remained, but that was something he was going to create later.
He sensed that Feifei had returned inside the Corridor, and he put the Rings in the System Inventory and walked out.
A smile crossed his face when he found her frowning and questioningly looking at him.
"I know you passed the Trial." He walked over to her and pulled her in his arms. "Was it hard?"
Feifei raised her head and her eyes turned to their Amethyst Shade.
"Is she your sister?" She straightforwardly asked, and Keith surprisedly looked at her.
"What?" He frowned, and then a thought crossed his mind. "You met the Yellow Emperor?"
There was only this possibility. However, she was not supposed to meet the Consciousness of the Yellow Emperor on the First Trial.
"Yes." She admitted, gauging his reaction.
"And he informed you about your mother?" He frowned some more, and she nodded her head in response.
Keith remained silent for a good minute, looking into her eyes.
{The Yellow Emperor's Consciousness was likely triggered by your Bloodline, Host.}
Yes, there was only this possibility. Otherwise, the Consciousness was not going to be triggered until the start of the third Trial.
He looked at the girl who was still waiting for an answer, and he nodded his head to her.
Feifei's eyes turned misty as soon as she saw him nod, and then she hugged him with all her might. Her body quivered from time to time, and he could feel her accelerating heartbeat.
Now that she knew who they were, it was understandable that she was quite overwhelmed.
"Don't tell them just yet."
"Okay." She did not ask him why he wanted her to keep it to herself, and then she proudly raised her head and grinned at him.
"I passed the 1st and 2nd Trials!"
She laughed when she found him dumbly staring at her, shocked at her words.
"They were easy, but the Yellow Emperor said that I am not ready to take on the third Trial yet." She told him and then proudly smiled again. "I am awesome!" She declared.
"Right." He finally got over the surprise and chuckled, shaking his head. "So, what were the Trails?"
"Not telling. It's a Secret." She adamantly shook her head, and as soon as he started tickling her belly, she escaped, running towards the Training Hall.
Keith already knew what the Trials were, so, he did not insist on it again.
Feifei really was not supposed to talk about them to anyone, including him.
