Chapter 103
Chapter 103
C103 – Anger
Jiang Hao gave Fann Jian a look that one might give to someone who’s not quite all there.
“I’m the chef of this restaurant. You can believe it or not, but I must ask you to leave now. We’re closing for the day and won’t be serving anyone.”
Fann Jian bristled at this response.
“Hmph, you little punk. Do you have any idea who I am?”
The disturbance quickly caught the attention of Xia Qin, Jiang’s father, Jiang’s mother, and others nearby.
They all rose and approached to see what was happening.
Fann Jian, noticing Jiang’s father in his apron, jumped to the conclusion that he was the head chef and pointed to the table where Xia Qin and the others had been seated.
“Did you cook the food on that table? I am Fann Jian, the general manager of Heavenly-Mansion Tavern!
Today’s your lucky day. My Heavenly-Mansion Tavern is in need of a chef. Pack your things and come with me!”
With that, Fann Jian turned on his heel, ready to strut out.
He had announced his affiliation with Heavenly-Mansion Tavern with great pride.
In his mind, anyone hearing about a job opportunity at Heavenly-Mansion Tavern would be overjoyed and eager to follow, given its esteemed reputation.
However, Jiang’s father was momentarily taken aback by the offer but quickly gathered his wits.
“Excuse me, sir, but there seems to be a misunderstanding. My son is the one who prepared that meal.”
“I’m warning you, keep your finger away from me. Get out of here!”
Fann Jian was livid.
He was used to people fawning over him at the mere mention of his title as general manager of the Heavenly-Mansion Tavern. This level of disrespect was new to him.
“You little brat, you...!”
But before Fann Jian could finish, Jiang Hao’s fury was unleashed. He grabbed Fann Jian’s finger and twisted it fiercely!
“Ah!”
Fann Jian let out a squeal of pain akin to a pig’s cry.
Jiang’s father, taken aback by the scene, hurriedly grabbed Jiang Hao.
“Hao Hao, that’s enough, let go now!”
Seeing his father’s reaction, Jiang Hao seized Fann Jian’s wrist and shoved him away with great force.
“Ah!”
Fann Jian stumbled backward as if struck by a train, finally landing squarely on his backside on the ground.
Jiang’s father, beside himself with anger, released Jiang Hao and rushed to assist Fann Jian, apologizing profusely.
But in that moment, Fann Jian, overwhelmed with rage, pushed Jiang’s father to the ground.
“Ouch!”
