Hugo shot up instantly and started walking after them. He was determined to catch up and force Collins into allowing Celine talk to him.

But Collins? That traitor?

He sped up.

He literally picked up his pace, dragging Celine along as if they were in a hostage situation.

Hugo narrowed his eyes. He balled his hands into fists and walked even faster.

Ariana’s eyes lit up.

"That’s... actually a great point," she said thoughtfully. "I never considered the symmetry aspect!"

Hugo smirked.

She turned around and rushed away again, seemingly gaining inspiration from his words.

Hugo opened his mouth. "Wait—"

She was gone.

Hugo stared at the empty space where she had just been.

For the first time all day, he wasn’t interrupted by her workers. He had done himself in!

’I chased her away myself with my smarts.’

His own mistake. The irony burned.

Hugo sighed deeply.

Then, he pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts.

He had another dilemma now.
