Ariana stood near the large black van, arms crossed, watching her workers as they loaded up the last of their supplies.
She gave sharp instructions, pointing at a few guys who were taking their sweet time with the heavy decorations.
They had already finished work on Collins’ apartment and were getting ready to leave.
Hugo stood beside her, arms also crossed... except he wasn’t watching the workers.
He was watching her.

The way the golden light of the setting sun reflected on her smooth skin. The slight pout on her luscious lips as she focused.
The curve of her waist leading down to those ridiculously unfair hips.
Dear God, what kind of genes did she have?
It was almost unfair. Except for her ridiculous lack of height, she literally had no other physical flaw!
His eyes stayed locked on her, soaking in her beauty up close and inhaling her rich scent.
And just when he was about to snap out of it—
She turned and caught him.
Their eyes met and sparks flew.
Ariana blinked, then immediately blushed. "Why are you staring at me like that?" Her voice was soft and gentle, almost mesmerizing.
Hugo tilted his head slightly, grinning. "Is it a crime?"
His rizz was getting better by the day and he was almost as good as Collins now. He had to demonstrate his game!
Ariana let out a small giggle, tucking her hair behind her ear. "Depends on your intentions."
Hugo smirked, placing a palm over his chest in a mock gesture. "My intentions are good, I promise."
She raised a brow, clearly not convinced.
’Okay, time to switch it up.’
Hugo shoved his hands in his pockets, tilting his head towards the house. "You should stay for the party."
He tried to sound as nonchalant as possible and not reveal the desperation in his heart. Thankfully, he had the aura of zen.
The atmosphere was already vibrant.
The furniture had been moved aside to make space for the dancing and ridiculous twirlings sure to come.
A table was stacked with bottles of drinks, and there were already a few early guests vibing near the edges of the room. Although they were all men, it was still a good sign.
Hugo’s lips curled into a satisfied smirk. ’This party might actually be insane. What a time to be alive!’
Then he spotted Collins.
The dude was fully dressed for battle.
A fresh letterman jacket, a matching baseball hat tilted to the side, and a chain around his neck.
It looked quite cool and all, but wasn’t this too flashy?
There were not in a music video.
Hugo raised an eyebrow, staring him up and down. "What’s this? A high school reunion?"
Collins grinned. "You’re talking sh*t, but I already set your outfit on the bed. Go put on yours."
Hugo’s eyes lit up.
Collins got him a matching fit?!
Now this was hype.
He would forgive this bestie of his for his evil acts earlier today. After all, wearing matching outfits with the host was almost similar to another social status buff!
Without wasting another second, Hugo rushed upstairs to get changed.
Tonight was going to be legendary.
He couldn’t wait!
