Chapter 1079 - 1080: Meeting of two families

"Before we start, Inessa and Ivette," Idan addressed his mothers. "Did you know that Adrian has a twin brother named Damian?"Both women widened their eyes in surprise and almost jumped up from their seats.

"What… What do you mean, Idan?" asked Ivette. "What kind of twin brother?"

Inessa looked from her sister to Idan, waiting for his answer.

"Eh..." sighed Idan.

His mothers' reaction was sincere, and he realized that they really weren't aware.

"Let me introduce you to Amanda," Idan said, pointing to one of the women sitting across from them. "Amanda Blake... Adrian's younger sister from the Eastern Continent."

This performance was another surprise for Inessa and Ivette.

While Irene was watching curiously, sitting next to Arabel, talking to each other through a mental link.

"And this is Estelle," Idan said, pointing to a second woman with two twins in her arms. "As far as I understand, she is Adrian's ex-lover, who gave birth to his son. And now she is Damian's woman."

"W... wait, Idan… What did you just say?" — Inessa's voice sounded haltingly and shakily. "Adrian's lover? And what kind of son? When? How?"

She was completely confused and tried to deny what she had heard.

Ivette, seeing her older sister's condition, gently took her by the hands.

Amanda and Estelle, watching the reaction of the women in front of them, also began to worry and speculate about who these women were.

"Amanda, Estelle, let me introduce you to Inessa," Idan said, this time representing the other side. "She's Adrian's wife and the woman who gave birth to me by him."

Now it's Amanda and Estelle's turn to be shocked by this revelation.

"This is Ivette, Inessa's younger sister and my aunt," Idan continued. "She's also my foster mother who raised me."

"And finally, Irene, Ivette's daughter and my older sister," Idan said, pointing at Irene. She nodded silently in response.

"Irene? Irene Fein?" exclaimed Amanda, remembering that name. "The heroine of the Federation?"

"Yes, that's her," Idan confirmed, much to the surprise of his new aunt and Estelle.

Irene, in turn, shot him a look of displeasure. She no longer wanted to be associated with the Federation and did not want to be considered a heroine.

"Now that we're all familiar with each other, let me say that I've gathered you here to sort out all these confusing circumstances surrounding that bastard Adrian and put all the pieces together."

"Idan, you can't call him a bastard, he's your father," Inessa objected.

"Father?" asked Idan ironically. "Why should I consider the father of the one who abandoned me and deceived you, saying that I was dead?"

"I have only one father, and that's Adam," Idan said with confidence.

This little drama has deeply shaken Amanda and Estelle.

Inessa, on the other hand, did not know what to say, and tears appeared in the corners of her eyes. Ivette, supporting her sister, gently patted her hand. However, a smile involuntarily appeared on her face when she heard how Idan still recognizes Adam as his father.

Idan was already getting bored with this family drama, which began with a simple task for the System — to get the blessings of his parents.

If it wasn't for this assignment, he would have continued to consider Ivette and Adam as his parents, without delving into the past, which they tried to forget.

However, Idan understood that if it wasn't for this assignment, he would never have known that he had a younger blood sister, Ina.

And recently, he even discovered that he has an older brother from another mother.

No matter how he felt about it, he had already started, and therefore he wanted to finish the job and understand what was what.

"Amanda, Estelle, let's start with you," Idan suggested. "Please tell us about Adrian and Damian's past."

He looked at his mothers and added, "My mothers know almost nothing about Adrian's past. He never told them about his family and, as you might have guessed, even about the existence of a twin brother."

"In turn, they will tell you about Adrian's life, which you probably don't know."

The two women were completely shocked by all the revelations, but, as Idan said, they wanted to know about Adrian's secret life, so they agreed.

"Adrian and Damian are my older brothers, born of a different mother," Amanda began with another revelation. Seeing another shock on the faces of the women in front of her, she added, "Don't be surprised. Illegitimate children are a long—standing problem in such old families as mine."

"Both of my brothers looked alike, and few people could tell them apart based on their looks alone."

"However, their characters were completely different."

"Adrian was more freedom-loving and couldn't stand being controlled by his family."

"Damian, on the other hand, was very calm and obedient."

"Despite their differences in personalities, my brothers were very close. They were the best of friends, and each of them was always ready to lend a shoulder in a difficult moment."

"But given their temperaments, Damian more often had to take responsibility for Adrian's antics," Amanda said with a touch of nostalgia, recalling her brothers' pasts.

"With age, Adrian's rebellious nature became more and more obvious, as did the charm of both brothers, who won the hearts of many young girls, including Estelle." Amanda glanced at Estelle, who blushed deeply.

"By the age of eighteen, Adrian had succeeded in making the family decide to send him abroad to study. And it was during this period, shortly before his departure, that he began an affair with this woman."

Inessa and Ivette looked at Estelle curiously.

"Yes, I dated Adrian before he left, but I found out that I got pregnant from him only after he left me," Estelle confessed. "As a result, I gave birth to a son, whom I named Ryan."

Inessa and Ivette exchanged complicated glances.

Inessa felt especially hard after this confession. She felt betrayed.

"Did he, Adrian, did he know about this?" asked Ivette.

"No, I didn't know," Estelle shook her head. She confessed, "Only Damian knew that I had a son with Adrian."

At this moment, all eyes were on the woman who was gently hugging the two little twins. Even Amanda herself was shocked by this revelation.

After a short silence, she continued:

"Since Adrian left, there has been almost no news from him, at least none that could reach my little mind."

Amanda was about ten years old at the time, but even now she has difficulty remembering the events of that time.

"It wasn't until two years later that something happened that caused the family to send Damian to bring Adrian home."

After saying these words, she stopped talking and looked at Estelle. The woman looked at her in response, and there was bitterness in their eyes.

"Eventually, after a while, Damian returned alone, bringing with him Adrian's lifeless body."
